Learning by doing.

As part of the Hospitality Training Programme under LIC HFL SARTHAK, our students regularly participate in practical sessions that help build industry-relevant skills, confidence, and workplace readiness.

These hands-on experiences are an important part of preparing young persons with disabilities for meaningful employment opportunities in the hospitality sector.

A gesture of appreciation, rooted in Assam’s rich cultural heritage.

At the Mira Kagti Memorial Lecture 2026, we were honoured to present Dr. Sudha Kaul with a pair of traditional Ban Batis, symbolising the warmth, craftsmanship, and traditions of our region.

We extend our sincere gratitude to COPO and Mridusmita for sponsoring this thoughtful memento and for supporting our efforts towards inclusion and advocacy.

Thank you for helping us celebrate meaningful conversations with a touch of local heritage.

Over two days of learning, reflection, and hands-on engagement, our CRE Programme on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) brought together participants to explore ways of ensuring that every child has a voice and every child has the opportunity to communicate.

From understanding myths, realities, and principles around AAC to practical tools and group activities, the workshop focused on building knowledge, skills, and confidence to create more inclusive learning and support environments.

Together we move towards an inclusive world where no one is left behind

The session focused on grooming, confidence building, presentation, and workplace readiness — helping students strengthen important professional skills for the hospitality sector.

We thank Raju Reyaz for sharing his expertise and engaging with our students as they continue their journey towards skill development and employment readiness.

A meaningful evening of dialogue, reflection, and learning at the Mira Kagti Memorial Lecture 2026 held on 13th May at Shishu Sarothi.

This year’s lecture on “Dignity, Agency, Inclusion: Reframing High Support Needs Through a Rights-Based Lens” was delivered by Dr. Sudha Kaul, Founder, Indian Institute of Cerebral Palsy (IICP), Kolkata, and Padma Shri awardee.

The session brought together parents, professionals, practitioners, and well-wishers to engage in important conversations around rights, inclusion, and support systems for persons with disabilities.

We thank everyone who joined us in carrying forward Mira Baideu’s vision of dignity, respect, and inclusion for all.
