The Gurukul Foundation School, Kashipur, in academic collaboration and panel participation with the Design Innovation Centre (DIC), IIM Kashipur, organized the SAMANVAYA Conclave on “Indian Knowledge Systems for Future Ready Education: Balancing Tradition, Innovation and Global Readiness.”
The Conclave brought together eminent academicians and institutional leaders who emphasized the integration of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) with modern education to nurture curiosity, creativity, ethics, and global competence.
🔹 Prof. Deepak Paramashivan, IIT Madras – Highlighted AI and OCR in making ancient manuscripts accessible, linking tradition with technology.
🔹 Prof. Vaibhav Bhamoriya, IIM Kashipur – Reflected on the four Purusharthas (Dharma, Artha, K**a, Moksha) as guiding principles for leadership and sustainable decision-making.
🔹 Dr. Vasudha Kapur, Director, TGFS – Advocated interdisciplinary integration of IKS in school education.
🔹 Smt. Padmalatha Suresh, Visiting Professor & Senior Advisor, TGFS – Moderated the panel with balance and purpose.
🔹 Smt. Minal Badhwar, Principal, TGFS – Stressed embedding IKS into daily classroom experiences.
🔹 Ms. Vibha Tiwary, Principal, Early Years Campus – Highlighted introducing IKS to young learners through stories, songs, and play.
The programme was dignified by the presence of distinguished guests including Mr. Ram Mehrotra, Chairman, Uttarakhand State Cooperative Union, and Dr. Smt. Deepika Guria Atray, Chairman, S.C. Guria Institute of Management & Law College, along with representatives from DIC IIM Kashipur.
Concluding the Conclave, the Chairman of TGFS affirmed that such initiatives strengthen scientific temper, creativity, ethics, leadership, and global readiness in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

🌟 National Innovation Event – INNOVIZ 2.0 x AVISHKAAR 5.0 🌟
The Design Innovation Centre (DIC), IIM Kashipur, in collaboration with the Atal Tinkering Lab at Gurukul Foundation School, Kashipur, successfully organized the national innovation challenge INNOVIZ 2.0 x AVISHKAAR 5.0 under the National Initiative for Design Innovation (NIDI), Ministry of Education, Government of India.
💡 From over 80 registrations, 24 teams from New Delhi, Dehradun, Rudrapur, Rampur, Bareilly, Khatima, Ramnagar, Pilibhit, Haldwani, Bazpur, and Kashipur showcased innovative solutions to real‑world challenges.
🌱 Problem statements focused on Uttarakhand’s priorities:
- Sustainable tourism in the Himalayan region
- Ecological safety in fragile mountain ecosystems
- Waste‑to‑value models for community sustainability
🎯 Key themes: Digital Pathshala 2047, Zero‑Waste Tourism & Ecological Safety, Waste‑to‑Value & Community Sustainability — reflecting the spirit of “समस्या से समाधान” and aligning with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
🏆 Award Winners
- Viksit Bharat Excellence Award – ₹5,000: PM Shri Atal Utkrisht Inter College, Khatima
- Applied Thinkers Award – ₹3,500: Snehi Agarwal & Sukhman Singh Siddhu, Little Scholars, Kashipur

📢 Workshop Successfully Conducted at IIM Kashipur

We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the Research & Innovation Management – Design Thinking & Strategic Implementation (RIM–DTSI) Workshop on Saturday, 14th March 2026, at IIM Kashipur.

On behalf of the Design Innovation Centre (DIC), IIM Kashipur, we extend our sincere gratitude to all members of the DIC Executive Committee and faculty for their invaluable support. Your guidance, expertise, and encouragement ensured the smooth ex*****on of the programme and enriched the learning experience for all participants.

We are pleased to share that the workshop received highly positive feedback from participants who attended both online and offline, reflecting the impact and relevance of the sessions.

We also express our heartfelt thanks to the Coordinator, DIC, IIT Roorkee (Hub), its DIC Spokes, the Project Officer of DIC, IIT Roorkee, the officials of the Ministry of Education, and all other stakeholders for their valuable support and cooperation in successfully organising this flagship initiative.
