The process itself was deeply collaborative. Draft spreads were printed and reviewed page by page, with handwritten notes and post-its from the artist, Nikhil Chopra .chopra.artist . It brought a hands-on, immediate quality to the dialogue—generous, encouraging, and precise.

Equally integral to this process were Tara Lal and Mortimer Chatterjee, who carefully mediated conversations and guided the design through their insight. Their clarity in communication and deep understanding of the artist’s work and its context helped shape decisions at every stage.

A reminder that thoughtful design emerges not just from systems and aesthetics, but from collaboration and shared understanding.

, we had the incredible opportunity to design “Design Your Own Learning: A Guided Workbook to Master Learning How to Learn” by our dear friend and mentor, Jaya Ramchandani . Jaya’s journey from teaching to coaching, fueled by her passion for Self-Directed and Project-Based Learning, inspired us. This workbook is the culmination of her vision to help everyone build agency and “look under the hood” of their own education.

The workbook empowers you to take the reins of your own learning journey, fostering agency through self-directed approaches. It was a joy to translate such a powerful message into a visually engaging and functional workbook.

A peek inside “Design Your Own Learning”:
Distinct colours define the ‘Framing, Planning, Shifting, and Sharing’ phases of the learning journey.
Visual cues and clear hierarchies are used to guide users through exercises and reflections.

Design approach:

Earthy Pastel Colours: Chosen to be easy on the eyes and keep the experience grounded.
Minimal Layouts: There is plenty of white space to let the eyes move intentionally and pause.
Friendly Infographics: Complex ideas are broken down into clear visuals that are easy to follow.

The print edition is now available in India via Pothi or Worldwide via Amazon.
