The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued a compounding order on 08.04.2026 u/s 15 of Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (FEMA), in the case of Jusda India Supply Chain Management Private Limited, which has resulted into termination of proceedings against the company for compounded contraventions of provisions of FEMA, 1999. The said order has been passed by RBI after issuance of "No Objection" by the ED.

India successfully convened the First Meeting of Focal Points of the BRICS Expert Network on Asset Recovery on 2nd -3rd June 2026. Practitioners discussed asset tracing, pre-MLA cooperation, standardizing the informal information-sharing mechanisms, and capacity-building to strengthen international asset recovery efforts.

ED, Kolkata Zonal Office has arrested Sujit Bose, Ex Minister (Department of Fire and Emergency Services, WB) & Ex-MLA on 11.05.2026 under PMLA, 2002 in connection with the Municipality Recruitment Scam. He was produced before the Hon’ble Special Court, Bichar Bhavan, Kolkata, which granted 10 days custody to ED for further investigation.

ED, Chandigarh Zonal Office has arrested Ribhav Rishi and Abhay Kumar, both ex-employees of IDFC first bank on 11.05.2026 under PMLA, 2002 in a matter related to embezzlement of public funds. The Hon’ble Special Court (PMLA) has granted 10 days ED custody of both the accused till 21.05.2026.

ED Headquarters Unit is conducting search action at 10 premises (6 in West Bengal and 4 in Delhi) under PMLA in connection with coal smuggling syndicate led by Anup Majee used to steal and illegally excavate coal from ECL leasehold areas of West Bengal. The search action was undertaken in a peaceful manner till the arrival of Chief Minister of West Bengal along with Police personnel and Officers of West Bengal administration who forcibly removed physical documents and electronic evidences in 2 of the premises. It is clarified that the search is evidence based and is not targeted at any political establishment. No party office has been searched. The search is not linked to any elections, and is part of regular crackdown on money laundering. The search is conducted strictly in accordance with established legal safeguards.

ईडी, पटना जोनल कार्यालय ने पीएमएलए, 2002 के तहत भारतीय राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग प्राधिकरण (एनएचएआई), पटना, बिहार के तत्कालीन उप महाप्रबंधक (डीजीएम) प्रभांशु शेखर द्वारा भ्रष्टाचार करके अपने व अपने परिवार के सदस्यों के नाम पर अर्जित की गई लगभग 2.85 करोड़ रुपये की अचल संपत्तियों (जिसमें बिहार और दिल्ली में फ्लैट व भूमि शामिल हैं) तथा चल संपत्तियों (जिसमें बैंक बैलेंस, सोने और चांदी के गहने और इंश्योरेंस पॉलिसी में निवेश शामिल हैं) को अनंतिम रूप से कुर्क कर लिया है।

ED, Kolkata Zonal Office has conducted search operations on 31.12.2025 and 01.01.2026 at 09 locations in Delhi, Mumbai, Surat, Lucknow and Varanasi at various premises linked to Social Media Influencer & Youtuber Anurag Dwivedi, and others in connection with an illegal online betting and gambling case under PMLA, 2002. During the searches, various incriminating documents, digital devices and two high-end cars Land Rover Defender, BMW Z4 belonging to Anurag Dwivedi have been seized.

ED, Raipur Zonal Office, has arrested Niranjan Das, IAS officer on 19.12.2025 in connection with the Chhattisgarh Liquor Scam under PMLA, 2002. He was produced before the Hon’ble Special Court (PMLA), Raipur, which has granted ED custody for three days i.e. till 22.12.2025. Earlier, Anil Tuteja (Ex-IAS); Arvind Singh; Trilok Singh Dhillon; Anwar Dhebar; Arun Pati Tripathi (ITS); Kawasi Lakhma (MLA and then Excise Minister of Chhattisgarh); Chaitanya Baghel (son of Ex-CM) ; Mrs. Soumya Chaurasia were arrested by the ED in the matter.
