A distinguished team of experts comprising Dr. R.P. Singh, District TB Officer; Mr. Pawan Kumar, District Private Public Coordinator; Mr. Ambuj Kumar Pandey, District Programme Coordinator; Mrs. Sunaina Arora, Senior TB Laboratory Supervisor; and Mr. Lallan Yadav, PMDT-TB HIV Coordinator, sensitized the officers and staff on various aspects of tuberculosis.

Under the *TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan – 100 Days Campaign*, an awareness lecture on Tuberculosis (TB) was organised at Dr. D.P. Rastogi Central Research Institute for Homoeopathy, Noida, for all the staff of hospital to spread awareness on TB prevention, early diagnosis, treatment, and eradication.

Dr. Harpreet, Research Officer/Scientist-I, highlighted the burden of TB in India and the importance of collective efforts towards a TB-free India. Dr. Surbhi, R.A.(H), spoke on the signs and symptoms of TB, early diagnosis, sputum testing, screening, timely referral, and infection control measures. Dr. Tush*ta, Consultant (H), emphasized the role of nutrition in TB management, high-risk groups, and treatment adherence to prevent drug-resistant TB.

The programme concluded with remarks by Dr. Padmalaya Rath, Hospital In-Charge, encouraging everyone to actively contribute towards TB awareness and elimination efforts.

The session ended with a pledge towards the vision of a *TB Mukt Bharat*.

📢 Training Session on Tuberculosis Awareness
Under T.B. Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan – 100 Days Campaign

Dr. D.P. Rastogi Central Research Institute for Homoeopathy, Noida organized a “Training Session on Tuberculosis” on 15.05.2026 under the T.B. Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan – 100 Days Campaign.

The session commenced with an informative address by Dr. Harpreet Kaur, RO(H)/S-1, who highlighted Tuberculosis as a major global public health concern. She emphasized that TB is preventable and curable with timely diagnosis and treatment, while discussing its transmission, burden in India, and socio-economic factors associated with the disease.

Dr. Padmalaya Rath, Hospital Incharge, further addressed the gathering and elaborated on the role of homoeopathic physicians in TB elimination through awareness generation, early diagnosis, timely referral, patient counseling, nutritional guidance, and supportive care.

The scientific session was conducted by the SRF(H) and JRF(H) team of DDPRCRIH, Noida:

🔹 Dr. Kruiti and Dr. Priya delivered a presentation on “T.B. Incidence and Prevalence and Current Trends of the Disease in India & T.B. Elimination Programme in India.”

🔹 Dr. Sheena spoke on “Risk Factors of T.B., Aetiology and Pathophysiology.”

🔹 Dr. Tripti discussed “Diagnosis of T.B., Signs and Symptoms, History, Physical Examination, Investigations, Differential Diagnosis and Complications.”

🔹 Dr. Riya and Dr. Varsha elaborated on “Standard Management, Prophylaxis, Role of Diet in the Management of T.B., Referral, Nikshay Mitra and Nikshay Portal.”

The session concluded with valuable remarks by Dr. Shahji Kumar, Officer Incharge, who emphasized the responsibility of doctors in achieving TB elimination goals and highlighted how homoeopathic professionals can actively contribute towards a TB-Free India. 🇮🇳

During the session, the general public was sensitized about the signs and symptoms of TB, modes of transmission, importance of early diagnosis and timely treatment, adherence to complete TB medication, prevention strategies, nutrition for TB patients, and the availability of free diagnosis and treatment services under the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP). The importance of community participation in eliminating stigma associated with TB and achieving the goal of a TB-free India was also emphasized.

IEC materials related to TB awareness and prevention were distributed among the villagers to further spread awareness in the community.
