Dr. Shifa Shahid (PG Scholar, , , Patna) presented an insightful seminar on "Housing, Climate, and Regional Variations in Health: A Unani Perspective" to answer the above question.
The presentation explores ancient yet highly relevant Unani concepts, including:
~How the direction and temperament of a house impact well-being.
~The profound effects of regional air variations and topography on inhabitants.
~The essential features of a "healthy house" and region-specific therapeutic approaches for physicians.

Today, we had the privilege of attending an informative presentation delivered by Dr. Ghazala Shamsi (PG Scholar), entitled "Gastric digestion and disorders in Unani medicine.”
The presentation highlighted the various stages of digestion ( ) & the role of quwat (faculties) - Jaziba, Masika, Mughaiyyara, Mumaiyyazah etc., and explained their significance in maintaining health. She further discussed the disorders resulting from impairment of these faculties, specifically emphasizing the role of Quwwate Mumaiyyazah (the discriminative faculty) in separating beneficial substances from waste materials, the consequences of its dysfunction and its contribution to the development of various diseases like .
She thoroughly described the consideration of these faculties while dealing with GIT disorders - perception, understanding, prevention and management all... She owes Tanveer Hkm Sir for conceptualizing, meticulously designing, finalizing and supervising the topic; which is related to her research project.
The presentation ended with a marathon question & answer session, jointly answered by the presenter and Dr. Tanwir sir. Thought-provoking questions were raised from Sir and he further advised the research participants to consider the quwat of the GIT while consulting the related patients, it shall definitely strengthen and empower the consultants by providing a rational approach.
