(Hindi-रामगढ़ छावनी) is acantonment town in Ramgarh district earlier a part of Hazaribagh district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. On 12 September 2007, new district Ramgarh was created and Ramgarh Cantonment town become District Headquarter. Ramagrh Cantonment is surrounded by coal-fields at Rajrappa,Laiyo,Ghato,Bhurkunda,Topa,Sarubera, Sirka, Urrimari,Sayal,Gidi etc. Damodar River flows past the town.The is spreads over a very large area on the both sides of NH 33.
