As part of Mental Health Awareness commemorations, the Head of NASCOP, Dr. Andrew Mulwa, led the administrative team in championing workplace mental health and wellness. The engagement underscored the importance of prioritizing mental well-being as a key driver of personal growth, productivity, and overall organizational performance. Dr. Mulwa emphasized the need to cultivate supportive work environments that promote resilience, open dialogue, and a healthy work-life balance.
The team is currently undergoing sensitization on workplace mental health, facilitated by the NASCOP Mental Health Lead in collaboration with representatives from Mathare National Teaching and Referral Hospital. Dr. Mulwa acknowledged the commitment of staff towards wellness initiatives and called for sustained collaboration in fostering a culture of care, reaffirming NASCOP’s commitment to safeguarding the mental health and well-being of its workforce as a cornerstone of institutional excellence.

Today, The Ministry of Health team, through Division of National AIDS and STI Control Program led by Dr. Andrew Mulwa, and the NSDCC led by Mr. Douglas Bosire, hosted a high-level delegation from the Lagos State AIDS Control Agency (LSACA), Nigeria.
The seven-member delegation is in Kenya for a study tour aimed at learning from the country’s experience in sustainable ARV access, pharmaceutical manufacturing, procurement and supply chain systems, while exploring opportunities for local ARV production, regional partnerships, and South–South collaboration to strengthen long-term HIV treatment sustainability in Lagos State.
