Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, hypertension, and chronic respiratory diseases are increasing in Kenya. The good news is that regular physical activity can prevent and help manage many of these conditions.

✅ Be physically active for at least 150 minutes every week

✅ Choose activities you enjoy:
-Walking or jogging
-Cycling
-Dancing
-Sports and games
-Swimming
-Gardening and farming
-Household chores
-Active play with children

(X) Reduce sitting time. ✅ Stand up, stretch, and move regularly throughout the day.

✅ Physical activity is for everyone: children, youth, adults, elderly and people with disability

🚭 Today is World No To***co Day

To***co use causes nearly 12,000 deaths annually in Kenya and costs our economy up to $756 million each year in healthcare and lost productivity.

The Government of Kenya is committed to protecting the health and well-being of all citizens.

We are strengthening enforcement of the To***co Control Act and advancing the To***co Control Amendment Bill (2024) to safeguard our youth and communities.

We urge all Kenyans to support stronger to***co taxation, regulation of flavored ni****ne products, and full compliance with advertising bans.

Together, we can reduce smoking, save lives, and build a healthier, more productive nation.

As we celebrate this blessed occasion, let us also protect our health and the wellbeing of our families and communities.

✅ Ensure meat is slaughtered and handled hygienically
✅ Cook meat thoroughly before eating
✅ Wash hands regularly with soap and clean water
✅ Store food safely to prevent contamination
✅ Avoid overcrowding and maintain clean surroundings
✅ Share responsibly and care for the vulnerable

May this Eid bring peace, good health, and happiness to all.

Social media is normalizing ni****ne use among young people, creating the illusion that “everyone is doing it.”
Don’t scroll past manipulation! Call out ni****ne content disguised as entertainment or lifestyle trends & help unmask the tactics behind the trend.

Sweet flavors. New products. Same old addiction. 🧵 The to***co industry is targeting our children, but we can fight back. Raise your voice, protect our youth, and build a to***co-free Kenya!
