The world cup is here, and so is the distraction on our staff😄

Don’t worry thou, the work is still getting done. It’s just being done between ‘strategic’ screen glances and some very questionable multitasking😂

Today, our Deputy Ambassador Mr. Alexander Fierley welcomed Wawira Njiru, Founder and CEO of Food4Education, to the Embassy for discussions on child nutrition, education, and innovative school feeding solutions in Kenya.

What if some of history’s greatest achievements started in places you never expected?

The world’s greatest achievements didn’t emerge from a single place.

But many of them trace their roots back to Africa.

From ancient centres of learning to groundbreaking scientific achievements, Africa’s influence can be found in chapters of history that changed the world.

Yet some of these stories are rarely told.

Maybe it’s time we looked a little closer👀

Because understanding where we’ve been helps us understand where we’re going.

Watch until the end🙂

Our Networking Reception brought together friends, partners, and colleagues for an evening of connection, cultural exchange, BBQ, music, and genuinely good energy all round😉

Great conversations, new connections, and a reminder that the best ideas often come when people simply gather and talk.

What if, overnight, nearly a fifth of Kenya were no longer under national control?

What if major cities, communities and livelihoods in South Africa were cut off by a foreign military occupation, and the world slowly started treating it as “normal”?

For Ukraine, this is not a hypothetical scenario. It is a daily reality.

↪️ Nearly 20% of Ukraine’s territory remains under Russian occupation. Millions of Ukrainians continue to live with displacement, destruction, and uncertainty caused by Russia’s war of aggression.

Distance should never lead to indifference.

Across Africa and Europe alike, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the peaceful resolution of disputes remain fundamental principles of international law.

That is why Germany continues to stand with Ukraine.

Because Ukraine is not only defending its own sovereignty. It is also defending the principles that help preserve peace, security, and stability around the world.

We stand with Ukraine, today, tomorrow and for as long as it takes.
