Administration Police is a Government Law enforcement Agency The Administration Police (abbreviated as A.P.) is a security arm of the Government of Kenya.

It was formed in 1958 when it took over the Tribal Police Ordinance, which was established 1929.

After seven years of hard work, resilience, and unwavering determination, the Administration Police Warriors RUGBY Club have reclaimed their place among Kenya's rugby elite. The Warriors capped off a remarkable campaign by defeating Kenya Prisons 31-08 in the final, earning promotion back to the KRU Championship Division.

From a thrilling semi-final comeback against Kabarak University to a dominant championship-winning performance, the team displayed true warrior spirit every step of the way. Congratulations to Ephraim Papai, the players, coaches, officials, and supporters who made this historic achievement possible.

This victory is more than a trophy, it is a testament to discipline, teamwork, and belief. The Warriors are back where they belong. Simba Ni Mmoja!

Today, 2nd June 2026, the Commandant RDU, Mr. Godfrey Otunge, CBS, OGW, SAIG, represented the Deputy Inspector General of the Administration Police Service (DIG-APS), Mr. Gilbert Masengeli, CBS, OGW, SS, in officiating the opening of the Joint Counter Terrorism Training Advisory Team (JCTTAT) Pre-deployment Course No. 2/2026 at the Border Police Training Campus (BPTC), Kitui.

Mr. Otunge arrived at the campus alongside Commandant BPU, Mr. Davies Lomwatu, OGW, HSC, SAIG,Director Training and Research Ms. Bianca Nzioki MBS, psc(R) AIG and Deputy Commandant BPU, Mr. Edward Ochola, OGW, AIG. They were received by the Commandant BPTC, Mr. Kiplangat Chirchir, AIG.

While delivering the DIG-APSโ€™s speech, Mr. Otunge stated that the course, which has drawn participants from BPU G Company, is designed to impart critical skills required for specialized operational duties. In his message, the DIG emphasized: โ€œThe weapon you carry is only as responsible as the mind that controls it. Excellence is not an act but a habit. A river is not strong because of one drop of water, but because of the many drops that flow together.โ€

The course will equip officers with essential competencies in tactical intelligence, Counter-IED measures, tactical medicine, Forward Operating Base (FOB) fortification, among other specialised areas.

Mr. Otunge encouraged the participants to embrace teamwork, discipline, and professionalism throughout the training period.

Also present were Mr. Mwadzemba Tsuma, SSP, Operations Officer BPU; Officer Commanding Kandologwe Field Training Camp, Mr. Nicholas Ndaisi, ASP; Captain Chris Bonnick a Royal Marines Commando; Flying Officer Josh Daley Bowden of the Royal Air Force Regiment; Mr. Al Laoutaris Royal Marines Commando, among other senior Officers and instructors.

โ€ŽThe event formed part of the course's recreation and physical fitness programme aimed at promoting wellness, teamwork, and overall wellbeing among participants. Also present were instructors from various departments, who joined the trainees in the activities, further fostering unity, mentorship, and team spirit.

Today, 1st June 2026, the Administration Police Service (APS), led by the Deputy Inspector General, APS, Mr. Gilbert Masengeli, CBS, OGW, SS, joined Kenyans across the country in commemorating the 63rd Madaraka Day celebrations, whose national climax was held in Wajir County.

The event was presided over by the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces, H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto, and underscored the Government's commitment to inclusion, national unity, and equitable development across all regions of the country.

In Wajir, the APS was represented during the ceremonial march-past by four formations: Division One, comprising officers from the host region adorned in ceremonial uniform; Division Two, the Anti-Stock Theft Unit (ASTU); Division Three, the Rapid Deployment Unit (RDU); and Division Four, the Border Police Unit (BPU).

In his address, the President highlighted the Government's plans to enhance development and inclusion in Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASALs) through comprehensive livestock support programmes. These initiatives will include livestock restocking and feeding programmes aimed at empowering pastoralist communities, strengthening livelihoods, and fostering sustainable economic growth. The interventions are also expected to increase opportunities for Agropreneur, thereby boosting economic development in these regions.

This year's Madaraka Day theme, "Education, Skills and the Future," aligns closely with the National Police Service Strategic Plan, which places significant emphasis on capacity building and professional development.
