Appreciation Note
The Public Service Office would like to extend its special appreciation to our sponsors whose generous support greatly contributed to the success of the Career Expo to Form 7 students on Friday 13 March 2026.
(1) Embassy of the People’s Republic of China - $4,240
(2) Perla Enterprises - $1,335
(3) Capital Restaurant – 30 carton pure water
(4) Lus Marine – $200
(5) JPT Trading – 4 carton soft drink
The Career Talk was part of the Quantum Leap Week and coordinated by the Public Service Office. The event has brought together Form 7 students from four Senior Secondary Schools, KGV & EBS, Moroni High School, Saint Louis High School, and Sacred Heart College. The Career Expo was commenced from 10:00am to 4:30pm and engaged more than 400 students.
The purpose of the Career Expo was to provide students with valuable insights into career pathways, allowing them to learn from the experiences of guest speakers and better understand the Government’s top six National Priority areas: Master Class/Foreign Going, Engineering, MBBS, Accounting, Land Management, and Information Communication and Technology. The event inspired students to align their educational goals with the development needs of Kiribati. In addition to that, Form 7 students have time to explore other programs that are listed in the National Priority List.
The program was officially opened by the Secretary of the Public Service Office and followed by inspiring presentations from key resource speakers representing various ministries and departments, including MTC-MEHR, DTO–MICT, Treasury–MFED, MHMS, Lands Division–MELAD, and MISE.
PSO sincerely acknowledge and thank our sponsors for their contributions together with and our key resource Speakers for their valuable contributions in making the event a successful and memorable one and allow Form 7 students to prepare themselves to pursue their studies in Universities outside Kiribati.
