Theme: Designing Future Society for Our Lives

We are proud to announce Sri Lanka’s participation at the World Expo 2025, held in Osaka, Japan from 13 April to 13 October 2025. Showcased within the Commonwealth of Earth (CE) Pavilion under the assistance program for developing countries, Sri Lanka Tourism presents an immersive and visually captivating exhibition stall that celebrates innovation, sustainability, and cultural richness.

The design of the Sri Lanka stall draws its inspiration from the vibrant marine ecosystems surrounding our island, focusing on the theme “Sustainable Management of Marine Resources” — a powerful reflection of SDG Goal 14: Life Below Water.

Stall Highlights:
- A futuristic yet organic structure influenced by the natural curves of ocean waves
- Integrated LED visuals of Sri Lanka’s marine biodiversity and coastal beauty
- Interactive touchpoints to engage visitors with real-life marine conservation efforts
- Subtle incorporation of Sri Lankan elements – from traditional textures to tropical color palettes

This stall is more than just a space it’s a story of how design, technology, and tourism can work together to preserve what matters most, our planet. By promoting Marine Tourism through a lens of sustainability, we invite the world to explore Sri Lanka not only as a destination of beauty, but also as a leader in responsible travel and ecological awareness.

Join us in Osaka as we design the future of tourism — one wave at a time.

Designed with a focus on elegance, cultural richness, and sustainability, the stall served as a vibrant gateway to Sri Lanka’s diverse tourism offerings.

The design reflected the authentic spirit of Sri Lanka from the serene beaches and lush greenery to the grandeur of heritage and the warmth of our hospitality. Natural textures, traditional motifs, and immersive visuals were creatively blended to offer an engaging atmosphere for international visitors and industry stakeholders.

This year, over 70 leading Sri Lankan travel and tour operators, hoteliers, and service providers joined hands under one roof to promote Sri Lanka as a must-visit destination. The well-structured and visually appealing stall provided ample space for B2B meetings and networking, while also showcasing our unique tourism products to the global travel trade.
