Due to unavoidable circumstances, the issue of BIB numbers for theJunior National Championship will not be held today (13.06.2026) at the Diyagama Stadium.

Instead , it will be held at the Association Headquarters in Torrington from 8.30 am to12.30 pm.

The issue of BIB numbers will be held on 06.14 from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm at the Diyagama Stadium.

​Issue of Competition Numbers:
​12.06.2026: From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Athletics Headquarters.
​13.06.2026: From 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Diyagama Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium.
​14.06.2026: From 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM at the Diyagama Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium.

​Important Note: All athletes are kindly requested to be aware of their respective competition numbers when arriving to collect them.

​Sadeev Rajakaruna – Clocked an impressive 46.10 seconds! 🔥
​Omel Silva – Finished strong at 46.15 seconds! 🔥
​The big final is happening TODAY at 4:30 PM.

​🚨 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: National Selection Trials 2026 🚨

​Attention all athletes, coaches, and sports enthusiasts!

​The Selection Trials originally scheduled for May 13, 14, and 15, 2026—aimed at selecting pools for the upcoming Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, National Athletics Pools, and forthcoming international championships—faced severe weather disruptions.

​Despite multiple schedule adjustments made to accommodate the conditions, several events had to be postponed due to the continuing adverse weather.

​Please note that the postponed events will now be held in 2026 May 21st according to the revised schedule below:

​07:10 AM – Under 23 Women's 200m - Finals

​03:10 PM – Women's 200m - Finals

2026 මැයි මස 13,14, 15 යන දිනයන්හිදී පැවැත්වීමට නියමිතව තිබූ තේරීම් තරගාවලිය ආසියානු ක්‍රීඩා උළෙල හා පොදු රාජ්‍ය මණ්ඩලීය ක්‍රීඩා උළෙල ,ජාතික මලල ක්‍රීඩා සංචිත හා ඉදිරියේ දී පැවැත්වීමට නියමිත විදේශ තරගාවලි යන ක්‍රීඩා ඉසව්වන් ඉලක්ක කරමින් සූදානම් කල අතර පැවැති අයහපත් කාලගුණය හේතුවෙන් කිහිපවරක් තරග කාලවේලාවන් සංශෝධනය කරමින් තරග පවත්වනු ලැබීය. එතෙකුදු වුවත් අයහපත් කාලගුණය හේතුවෙන් ලබන සදුදා දින දක්වා ඉසව් කිහිපයක් කල් දැමීමට සිදුවිය. ​📢 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Selection Trials Rescheduled
​Due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions across the country, Sri Lanka Athletics has decided to postpone the selection trials originally scheduled for May 13th, 2026.

​🗓️ New Schedule
​The trials will now commence on May 14th,15th & 16th 2026, and will continue as per the revised timeline.

This is to inform you that the selection trials schedulled to be held on 13 th May 2026 will be postphoned to 14th May 2026 onwards due to bad weather condition prevailing in the country.
Therefore, all the athletes those who applied for the selection trials act accordingly.
