உலகம் முழுவதும் அவ்வெண்ணிக்கையிலான சிறுவர்கள் தொழிலில் ஈடுபடுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளனர்—அவர்களில் பலர் மனித விற்பனை மற்றும் சுரண்டலுக்கு ஆளானவர்கள்.

விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துதல், பாதிக்கப்படக்கூடிய புலம்பெயர்ந்தோருக்குப் பாதுகாப்பையும் பாதுகாப்பான மாற்று வழிகளையும் வழங்குதல் மற்றும் தேசிய அமைப்புகளை வலுப்படுத்துதல் ஆகியவற்றின் மூலம், ஒவ்வொரு பிள்ளையும் சுரண்டல், மனித விற்பனை மற்றும் சிறுவர் தொழிலிலிருந்து பாதுகாப்பாக இருப்பதை உறுதிசெய்ய IOM முயற்சிசெய்கின்றது.
