Brass sheet work
Here the brass-worker is making a tray with a moonstone design. The brass sheet is held on a layer of shellac compound with nails to protect from scratching. In front are various tools of different shapes and sizes used by the brass-worker.

Summary
Description
Close-up of the Dumbara weaving loom. Dumbara is the name of the region in Sri Lanka where this handicraft is practised. A few threads are pulled from the shank of fibres, inserted into a small hole in the Wema (a long smooth stick) which is then pushed across the weft to make a new line of the pattern.
