📝 Anti-fraud strategy is comprehensive, but suffers from some flaws in risk assessment
🎯 Action plans often lack ambition to meet the strategy’s objectives

Today we were pleased to welcome EU Commissioner Dubravka Suica to the European Court of Auditors for a visit organised by ECA Member George-Marius Hyzler, Dean of Chamber III. Together with ECA President Tony Murphy and ECA Members Nikolaos Milionis, Ivana Maletić and Laima Andrikiene, the meeting offered a valuable opportunity to exchange on the ongoing ECA work and underline the importance of transparency and accountability in public audit.

We reflected on key achievements, exchanged valuable insights, and celebrated the strong partnerships that continue to drive our work forward.

Yesterday's discussions looked at the evolving role of in an age of uncertainty, from budgetary alignment and resilience to the audit expectation gap.

Participants also explored how and may need to adapt under the next Multiannual Financial Framework, and how to audit effectively within increasingly complex multi-level governance structures.

As Europe faces a rapidly changing environment, effective oversight, accountability and sound financial management matter more than ever.
