Road Closures in Hal Balzan this week:

Monday 15th June
Triq il-Kbira from 9.30 till 17.00 from Triq San Frangisk till Triq il-Providenza

Triq il-Kbira from 10.00 – 14.00 from Three villages Bar till Triq Valent Muscat

Friday 19th June
Triq Birbal from 10.00 tilll 14.00 One lane closure between Vjal De Paule and Vjal Sir Michelangelo Refalo – Bus route will not be effected.

All ROUTES HAMRUN - BOMBI DIVERSION
Dates:
Sunday 14th June 2026

Time: 06:00hrs – 08:30hrs.
Road Closure: BOMBI - direction to Valletta.
Diversion (click): All Route buses coming from MARSA/ HAMRUN going towards VALLETTA will be diverted from TRIQ DICEMBRU 13 (Keeping on the right side) when coming to the Traffic lights proceed by passing infront of FUELING Area and at the roundabout turn right towards SPCA to continue all the way to Valletta from St Anne Street.

Bus stops effected: 6148 Bombi 2A, 1061 Sarrija, 1063 Publiju.



ALL SOUTH ROUTES DIVERSION
Date: Sunday 14th June 2026 Time: 06:00hrs – 08:30hrs.
Road Closures: Triq Dicembru Tlettax.
Diversion direction Valletta (Click): Route buses coming from TRIQ ALDO MORO will have to divert back at the roundabout and take the first turn on the left onto TRIQ TAT-TROMBA till the end and turn left again, moreover buses will take the third exit from TRIQ BELT IL-HAZNA straight to FLORIANA WATERFRONT (Near virtu ferries) to TRIQ KURCIFIS to continue their route.

Bus Stops not being served are:
Tigrija 472, Dicembru 473, Balbi 6184, Blata L-Bajda 5 474, Bombi 2A 6148, Sarrija 1061, Mall 1062, Publiju 1063.



All Routes BOMBI DIVERSION to VALLETTA
Date: Sunday 14th June 2026 Time: 06:00hrs – 08:30hrs.
ROAD CLOSURE: BOMBI AREA
Diversion (click): Route buses going towards VALLETTA will have to divert from PIETA straight from under the BOMBI BRIDGE up to BOMBI UPPER and at the traffic lights junction will have to turn left down towards MARSA then proceed towards the VALLETTA WATERFRONT then up to TRIQ IT-TELGHA TAL-KURCIFISS onto TRIQ SANT ANNA in FLORIANA.

ROUTE 214 Fleur De Lys & Balzan DIVERSION
Date: Sunday 14th June 2026 Time: 05:30hrs – 07:30hrs.
Road Closure: Fleur De Lys & Triq Birbal.
Diversion (Click): Route buses coming from MARSA HAMRUN BYPASS going towards ATTARD will have to divert from MRIEHEL BYPASS straight without serving BIRKIRKARA & BALZAN.

2424 Ferrovija, 2425 Parilja, 2426 Xarretta, 2427 Psaila, 6364 Stazzjon, 1270 Wied, 5647 Alwigi, 5673 Pastur, 6230 Vestu




ROUTES 50, 51, 52, 53, 56, 182 ATTARD DIVERSION
Date: Sunday 14th June 2026.
Time: 05:30hrs – 07:30hrs.
ROAD CLOSURES: Central link Attard (Marathon).
Diversion from Rabat: Route buses coming from Rabat will divert by SANT ANTON GARDEN. Proceed towards BIRKIRKARA and then reach FLEUR DE LYS ROUNDABOUT. Take the first exit direction HAMRUN to continue the normal route.
Diversion to Rabat: Route buses coming from Hamrun at FLEUR DE LYS ROUNDABOUT, take the first exit to reach the roundabout near JOYNWELL. Take the third exit to MRIEHEL BYPASS. Continue the normal route.
Please check the other diversion in Bombi area.
Bus stop affected: Notabile 198, Mriehel 1307, Bontadini 199/1306, Gwakkin 200/1305, Sebh 201/1304, Fleur de lys 202/1303.



ROUTES 74 & 205 MARSA DIVERSION
Date: Sunday 14th June 2026 Time: 06:00hrs – 08:30hrs.
Road Closure: Marsa - Hamrun Fly Over & December 13th .
DIVERSION (Click): After serving MARSA PARK & RIDE route buses need divert from ĦAMRUN via QORMI ROAD, then continue along ST. JOSEPH HIGH STREET to continue their route.
Kindly check active diversion in BOMBI AREA.

ROUTES 109 109A ATTARD DIVERSION
Date: Sunday 14th June 2026 Time: 06:00hrs – 08:30hrs.
Road Closure: Attard Area.
Diversion from RABAT direction to ZEBBUG (click): From TELGHA TAS-SAQQAJJA route buses will divert straight through ZEBBUG BY-PASS without serving ATTARD area.

Bus Stops affected: 2542 Qali 2, 192 Carmel, 193 Incita, 194 Warda 1, 197/1309 Anton, 1310 Zarb.

Latest update from Enemalta re pending works in Old Railway Road and neighboring streets

🇲🇹Bejn l-1 ta' Ġunju u t-8 ta' Ġunju l-Enemalta ser tkun qed tagħmel xogħol ta' asphalt ġdid fi Vjal De Paule, Triq Sir M A Refalo u Triq l-Imdina. Ix-xogħol ser isir bejn is-07:00am u s-19:00. Matul il-ħin tax-xogħol ser ikun hemm għeluq tat-triq fejn ikun qiegħed isir ix-xogħol. Residenti huma avżati li matul il-ħin tax-xogħol aċċess għal garaxxijiet jaf ikun ristrett.

🇬🇧Between the 1st June and 8th June Enemalta shall be carrying out asphalting works in De Paule Avenue, Imdina Road and Sir M A Refalo Road. Work commences at 07:00am and ends at 19:00. During working hours full road closure shall be in place in the road where works would be carried out. Residents are notified that during works access to garages may be heavily and extremely restricted.

L-aħħar aġġornament mill-Enemalta huwa li x-xogħol fi Triq il-Ferrovija l-Qadima mistenni jibda għada wara li kien hemm problemi mhux mistennija l-bieraħ b'rabta ma' l-inċident tal-kamra tan-nar.

The last update from Enemalta is the work is slated to commence tomorrow on Old Railway Road following an unexpected problem yesterday due to the fireworks factory incident.

According to the last update receive from Enemalta works shall commence on the 1st June instead of the 28th May and shall extend to the 6th June

🇬🇧 On Saturday 30th May 2026 the office of the Local Council shall be closed. Whilst apologizing for any inconvenience this may cause we would like to inform residents that the office will be open as usual as of Monday 1st June 2026.
