65 TREES PLANTED IN TA' PASSI
This morning, 65 olive trees were planted at Ta' Passi fields where Bethlehem f'Għajnsielem is held. The trees were planted by the Year 3 and Year 4 primary school students during an educational outting.

The initiative was organised by the Għajnsielem Local Council in collaboration with ngo 'Siġar'. The trees were sponsored by One80, the White Knight Boutique hotel, Ministry for Gozo, Mr Abraham Scicluna and Mr Raymond Grech.

This is part of our plan to make the area greener and more attractive space as a family park.

FERAL DUCKS AND CHICKENS ADOPTION DRIVE

The Għajnsielem Local Council would like to inform the public that, due to the significant increase in both feral duck and chicken populations at Bethlehem f’Għajnsielem, a public adoption drive is being launched to responsibly re-home these farm animals.

While the Council remains fully committed for their welfare, the increasing population has exceeded the available resources and existing environment available.

Following consultations with the relevant authorities, the sensible solution is for the Council to therefore seek suitable adopters who are willing to provide a new decent home for these feral animals.

Anyone interested in adopting, or who would like further information, is kindly requested to contact the Għajnsielem Local Council or our Animal Steward.

GĦAJNSIELEM CHURCH CHOSEN AS WINNING STAMP
This year the SEPAC 2025 entry from Malta featuring the Għajnsielem church received the most votes making it the most beautiful stamp of the year.

The €1.91 value: Parish Church of Ghajnsielem, Gozo
Located on the smaller island of Gozo the Parish Church of Ghajnsielem is dedicated to the Lady of Loreto. The construction of this Neo-Gothic structure, which is a standout landmark in the village, began in the early 20th Century and spanned several decades resulting in a great work of both spiritual devotion and architectural ambition. This particular value was the one chosen to bear the SEPAC logo, making it the winner of the Most Beautiful Stamp competition.
