🌍 12 June – World Day Against Child Labour

Child labour is not always visible.
Behind forced work, exploitation, and survival on the streets, many children are also victims of trafficking, abuse, and coercion.

Every child deserves:
πŸ“š Education
πŸ›‘οΈ Protection
πŸ’› Freedom
🌱 A chance to thrive

Together, we can break cycles of exploitation and create new beginnings.

A simple day outdoors can go a long way. 🌳

Residents recently enjoyed a picnic at Buskett Gardens, taking in the fresh air and having fun with a game of badminton. Activities like these provide opportunities for relaxation and wellbeing while enjoying Malta’s beautiful natural spaces.

Our seventh professional roundtable brought together stakeholders from different sectors to discuss the topic of Men and Boys in Human Trafficking.

The discussion focused on the often-overlooked experiences of male victims and the barriers to identification and support. Through the sharing of knowledge, experiences, and good practices, professionals explored ways to strengthen collaboration and improve support systems for all victims of trafficking.

These roundtables continue to provide an important space for dialogue and collective action amongst professionals working in the field. Thank you to all those who attended and discussed this important topic.

One of our colleagues recently appeared on F Living to speak about human trafficking, shedding light on how this issue can be hidden in plain sight. During the discussion, they highlighted key red flags to look out for, such as signs of control, exploitation, and restricted freedom, while also explaining how individuals can safely report concerns. The segment aimed to raise awareness and encourage the public to take action, reminding everyone that recognising the signs and speaking up can make a real difference. Thank you for the opportunity!
