The Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) would like to alert the public to fraudulent requests for payment for transportation services allegedly provided using AFM air or maritime assets.

These scams often involve fake "official" AFM mission reports that falsely claim payment is required for transportation services. Such documents are entirely fraudulent, and the transportation services they refer to never took place.

If you receive such a request, you are strongly advised to:

• Do not make any payments.
• Do not provide any personal, banking, or financial information.
• Report the incident to your nearest Police Station or online at pulizija.gov.mt.

Please remain vigilant and help protect yourself and others from fraud by sharing this notice.

Nhar is-Sibt 6 ta’ Ġunju 2026, Gunner Dillon Mamo rrappreżenta lil Malta fi ġlieda prestiġjuża għat-titlu tal-World Kickboxing Network (WKN) European Championship kontra avversarju b’saħħtu minn Spanja. Wara konfront intensiv u miġġieled sal-aħħar, Gunner Mamo ħareġ rebbieħ b’deċiżjoni unanima, u kiseb iċ-ċinturin prestiġjuż taċ-Champion Ewropew tal-World Kickboxing Network. 🔥

Suldat fi ħdan l-Ewwel Reġiment tal-Forzi Armati ta’ Malta, Gunner Dillon Mamo daħal fir-ring iġorr il-kuluri Maltin b’tant unur. 🇲🇹

On Saturday 6 June 2026, Gunner Mamo Dillon proudly represented Malta in a prestigious World Kickboxing Network (WKN) European Championship title fight against a formidable opponent from Spain. After an intense and hard-fought battle, Gunner Mamo emerged victorious by unanimous decision, claiming the coveted World Kickboxing Network European Championship belt. 🔥

A proud soldier of the 1st Regiment of the Armed Forces of Malta, Gunner Mamo Dillon carried the Maltese colours into the ring with honour. 🇲🇹

This remarkable achievement is also a testament to the dedication and expertise of his coach, Noel Mercieca, a former soldier and Head Coach of Team Noel Malta, whose guidance played a key role in this historic success. 🥊👏

The Armed Forces of Malta congratulates Gunner Dillon Mamo on bringing European gold back to Malta and inspiring the next generation of Maltese athletes! 🏆

Il-Ġimgħa li għadda, membri minn diversi Reġimenti tal-Forzi Armati ta’ Malta rrappreżentaw lill-Forzi Armati ta' Malta waqt l-MCAST Open Day f'Raħal Ġdid. Permezz ta’ stands informattivi, is-suldati tagħna kellhom l-opportunità li jiltaqgħu mal-istudenti, iwieġbu l-mistoqsijiet tagħhom u jagħtuhom tagħrif dwar il-karrieri differenti li wieħed jista’ jsib fil-Forzi Armati ta’ Malta.

Il-Forzi Armati ta' Malta tirringrazzja lil kull min żar l-istands tagħna u wera interess fix-xogħol li nwettqu kuljum. Nistennew bil-ħerqa li fil-futur niltaqgħu ma’ aktar żgħażagħ li jistgħu jsiru l-mexxejja, t-tekniċi, l-inġiniera u l-professjonisti ta’ għada.

Last Friday, members of the Armed Forces of Malta from various units came together to represent the Armed Forces of Malta at the MCAST Open Day in Paola. Through dedicated information stands, personnel had the opportunity to engage with students, answer questions, and provide valuable insight into the diverse career paths available within the Armed Forces.

The Armed Forces of Malta thanks everyone who visited our stands and showed interest in the work we do. We look forward to meeting more future leaders, technicians, engineers, and professionals in the years ahead.

Il-Forzi Armati ta’ Malta ġew onorati bil-President’s Award waqt il-Public Service Awards 2026, bħala rikonoxximent għas-servizz mogħti mis-suldati tagħhna matul u wara l-impatt tal-Maltempata Harry f’Jannar 2026.

Matul il-kundizzjonijiet tat-temp sever ikkawżati minn Storm Harry, is-suldati tal-Forzi Armati ta’ Malta kellhom irwol fejn taw appoġġ lill-awtoritajiet ċivili waqt operazzjonijiet ta’ emerġenza. 🚨

L-interventi saru kemm fuq il-baħar kif ukoll fuq l-art. Fuq il-baħar, l-ekwipaġġi operaw f’kundizzjonijiet diffiċli biex jassistu bastimenti fil-periklu, filwaqt li fuq l-art is-suldati ħadmu biex ineħħu l-fdalijiet u ostakli oħra sabiex tiġi żgurata s-sigurtà tal-pubbliku u l-aċċessibbiltà fit-toroq. ⚓🛣️

Il-premju ġie ppreżentat mill-Eċċellenza Tagħha l-President ta’ Malta, Dr Myriam Spiteri Debono, flimkien mas-Segretarju Permanenti Ewlieni, is-Sur Tony Sultana. 🇲🇹

The Armed Forces of Malta was honoured with the President’s Award during the Public Service Awards 2026, in recognition of the service rendered by its personnel during and in the aftermath of Storm Harry in January 2026.

Throughout the severe weather conditions brought about by Storm Harry, Armed Forces of Malta personnel played an important role in supporting civil authorities in emergency response operations. 🚨

Interventions were conducted both at sea and on land. At sea, crews operated in adverse conditions to assist vessels in distress, while on land, personnel helped clear debris and remove obstructions to ensure public safety and accessibility. ⚓🛣️

The award was presented by Her Excellency, the President of Malta, Dr Myriam Spiteri Debono, together with the Principal Permanent Secretary, Mr Tony Sultana. 🇲🇹

The Armed Forces of Malta extends its congratulations to all recipients honoured during this year’s edition of the Public Service Awards. 🤝

Today, the Armed Forces of Malta mounted a full Guard of Honour for the Opening of the First Session of the Fifteenth Parliament, during a ceremony held in front of the Parliament Building in Valletta.

This ceremonial duty reflects the Armed Forces of Malta’s enduring commitment to service, discipline, and the institutions of the Republic.
