Today, we celebrated the farewell of our colleague and friend, Inġ. Charles Buttigieg as he marked his last day at the Energy and Water Agency after 12 years of dedicated service. 🎉
As Chief Policy Officer within the SSU, Charles played an important role in many of the Agency's initiatives and achievements over the years. Beyond his work, he has been a supportive colleague, always willing to share his knowledge, offer guidance, and lend a helping hand. 🤝
Thank you, Charles, for your commitment, hard work, and the lasting contribution you have made to the Agency.
You will be greatly missed. 🫂

Recently, the Ghajn Centre welcomed Year 5 students from St. Clare College, Madonna tal-Mensija Primary School, San Ġwann, to Chadwick Lakes for a series of educational visits. 💧🌱
During their visit, the students explored the freshwater habitat of Wied il-Qliegħa (Chadwick Lakes Trail), learning about the diverse plants and animals that depend on this unique ecosystem. They also visited the historic Fiddien Box, a structure once used to distribute water, and took part in a fieldwork activity along the Chadwick Lakes Trail. 🐸
By experiencing nature firsthand, the students gained a deeper understanding of freshwater ecosystems, the importance of biodiversity, and Malta’s rich water heritage.
