Reġjun Tramuntana is proud to support Youth Hubs of Europe, a flagship collaborative project co-funded by the European Union through the CERV programme.

This initiative creates a space for young people aged 16 to 30 to connect, discuss, and make their voices heard on the future of Europe and the democratic challenges affecting their lives.

Through this online event, participants will explore important themes such as:

🔹 employment
🔹 education
🔹 social inclusion
🔹 civic participation
🔹 the future of the European Union

Participants who attend online sessions may also qualify for the opportunity to attend fully funded international hackathons in Italy, North Macedonia and Portugal, and have the opportunity to benefit from mentoring, networking with peers and experts across Europe.

All 16–30 years old residents.

Reġjun Tramuntana is actively participating in the TAIEX EIR Multi‑Country Workshop on the Collection and Treatment of Biowaste, taking place today in Bologna.We were invited to present our on:
“Local Municipal Waste Management Systems in Malta – challenges, waste management evolution and performances.”

This is an important opportunity to share Malta’s experience and contribute to the wider EU discussion on improving biowaste and waste management in general.

A warm thank you to TAIEX and Municipal Waste Europe for this valuable opportunity and prestigious platform.

Reġjun Tramuntana is teaming up with the Victim Support Agency for an informative community talk — open to everyone in our region.

Join us to learn about the support services available to individuals and families affected by crime, what situations fall under crime, and how we as a community can strengthen awareness, prevention, and support for those in need.

📍 Synergies Evaluation Workshop – Malta Preparedness Case

We would like to sincerely thank all stakeholders who actively participated in the Synergies Evaluation Workshop: Malta Preparedness Case, held in May 2026.

The workshop provided an excellent opportunity for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and the evaluation of preparedness measures, contributing to the overall objectives of this EU co-funded project.

A special thank you to all participating stakeholders, including the Public Works Department, Ministry for Health and Active Ageing, Environmental Health Directorate, University of Malta, Energy and Water Agency, Civil Protection Department, MEEC, Malta Police Force, Academy for Disciplined Forces, and all other partners who contributed their expertise and insights.

Your engagement and commitment were key to the success of the workshop.

Qabel ma kisbet l-Indipendenza u saret pajjiż demokratiku fl-1964, Malta kienet taħt il-ħakma tal-Gvern Kolonjali Brittaniku, bi ftit jew xejn vuċi fl-amministrazzjoni. Bħala parti mill-konsegwenzi tal-Ewwel Gwerra Dinjija, Malta kienet qed tbati minn provvisti baxxi ta’ ikel u żieda fl-għoli tal-ħajja, b’merkanti rgħiba jagħmlu profitti kbar għad-detriment taċ-ċittadini Maltin.

Ir-Reġjun Tramuntana jixtieq jesprimi l-apprezzament sinċier tiegħu lill-Onor. Dr Owen Bonnici għad-dedikazzjoni, il-kollaborazzjoni u l-appoġġ li ta lis-settur tal-gvern lokali matul il-perjodu tiegħu fil-kariga. Nirringrazzjawh tal-ħin u l-impenn tiegħu favur il-komunitajiet tagħna.

Fl-istess waqt, nifirħu lill-Onor. Alison Zerafa Civelli għall-ħatra tagħha bħala Ministru għall-Gvern Lokali. Nawgurawlha kull suċċess f’din il-kariga ġdida u nħarsu ’l quddiem biex inkomplu naħdmu flimkien għall-ġid tal-kunsilli lokali u r-residenti kollha tar-Reġjun Tramuntana.
