Can you paint how music feels? 🎵
In this session, participants listened to different songs and expressed the emotions they evoked through art. From energetic and joyful to calm and reflective, each piece captured the rhythm of feeling.
A beautiful fusion of sound and creativity—where emotions became visible 💛

The Port Region invites Maltese filmmakers to submit their short films for the opportunity to be screened during public showings at INDAWRU FILM, an initiative taking place on 4, 5, and 6 August at the Greek Theatre, Xgħajra.

A heartfelt thank you to the Valletta & Floriana Community Service for their dedication and commitment in the implementation of Rakkonti.

We are especially grateful to all the elderly residents who generously shared their memories, stories, treasured objects, and life experiences, and to the children from the Valletta and Floriana Primary schools who listened with curiosity, asked thoughtful questions, and who are bringing these stories to life through their creativity and imagination.

Sponsored by the Port Regional Council and Arts Council Malta, Rakkonti is creating meaningful connections between generations through storytelling, writing, and illustration. Through sessions held in schools and elderly homes, participants have contributed to a unique journey of dialogue, learning, and mutual understanding, culminating in a publication that preserves these valuable stories for future generations.

This project is a testament to the power of community, participation, and inclusion, strengthening social connections across the Port Region's localities while celebrating the voices and experiences of its residents.

☕ Coffee Landscape Painting
Art you can see… and smell ☕🌿
Using coffee and chamomile tea, participants created warm, sepia-toned landscapes inspired by local surroundings. The scents sparked memories, making each artwork deeply personal and nostalgic.
This calming session blended creativity with reminiscence, showing how art can engage all the senses and tell meaningful stories 🍂 Thank you to all the participants at the Fgura Active Ageing and to Ryan Galea for leading the session!
