An organisation committed to healthy oceans. There are some 3,600 km2 of reef around the country, including fringing reefs and offshore islands.

We create impact by partnering with local communities, government agencies and the private sector to protect and conserve marine ecosystems. Malaysia is part of the “Coral Triangle”, the area of the world’s oceans recognized by scientists as having the highest biodiversity. Coral reefs therefore represent an economically important ecosystem and are the foundation of a significant percentage of the

Sometimes, our corals need a little extra help. ❤️‍🩹 The stormy weather left our coral rehabilitation blocks scattered and out of place.

Our team headed out to carefully rearrange them, putting each one back where it belongs so the corals can continue to grow, recover, and thrive. 💙

Healthy reefs need more than restoration, they need community stewardship.

In Mersing, we are strengthening local community involvement in marine conservation through coral rehabilitation efforts.

By working alongside community members, we are not only helping to restore degraded reef habitats but also building local capacity and fostering a sense of ownership over the marine ecosystems that support their livelihoods.

Let's do this together!

Lasting conservation can only be achieved when communities are actively involved. This is a principle we firmly believe in.

Our Senior Programme Manager, Adzmin Fatta, recently shared his thoughts on the vital role coastal communities play in protecting our oceans for future generations. Swipe to Slide 5 to see where the articles were featured.

We are grateful for the support and collaboration of the local communities we work with, and we look forward to strengthening these partnerships in the years ahead. 💙

Recently, our team in Johor conducted a seagrass nursery-based planting activity with students from SK Kampung Baru Pasir Gogok.

The students were introduced to the importance of seagrass ecosystems and learned that seagrasses exist within their own coastal area! They were then able to explore three seagrass species collected from Sungai Johor and also took part in planting these species in baskets and tanks at the school. This programme allows them to observe and monitor seagrass growth firsthand.

We hope this experience inspires these young learners to become more aware of the seagrass ecosystems and the need to conserve them for future generations.

We would like to thank our volunteer representative from Pengerang Terminals Sdn. Bhd. (PITSB), Mr. Abdul Hadi, for his participation and contribution to this activity.

We've shared with the Pulau Aur community that glass bottles aren't just waste.

Now, we're showing them that glass bottles can be repurposed as part of the preparation for coral rehabilitation structures.

Together with volunteers and the local community, these bottles are given a new purpose before being transported to the rehabilitation site.

What may look ordinary in our hands today could become a new home for marine life tomorrow!
