Today, MTDC hosted the briefing and kick-off session for the Transforming SMEs into Exporters – Women (TSMEX-W) 2026 programme, bringing together women entrepreneurs ready to take the next step in their growth journey.

Designed as a structured six-month transformation programme, TSMEX-W will support 15 selected women-owned SMEs through business diagnostics, capability development, technology matching, financing readiness and market access initiatives to strengthen their export preparedness and long-term competitiveness.

As Malaysian businesses look beyond domestic markets, building the right foundations becomes just as important as finding the right opportunities. Programmes such as TSMEX-W help ensure that growth is supported by stronger capabilities, clearer strategies and greater readiness for international expansion.

Technology sovereignty is not about mastering every technology. It is about identifying the technologies that matter most to national interests, understanding where our strengths and gaps lie, and making deliberate decisions to build and sustain these capabilities over time.

Today, MOSTI conducted the Bengkel Pemurnian Kerangka Kedaulatan Teknologi Negara (National Technology Sovereignty Framework – NTSF) Siri 2, bringing together stakeholders from government, industry, academia and the research community to further refine the framework and its implementation priorities.

As the implementing agency for NTSF, MTDC continues to work alongside ecosystem partners to help shape a framework that strengthens national capabilities, enhances technological resilience, and supports a more coordinated approach towards Malaysia’s strategic technology priorities.
