CAPACITY BUILDING
Today, the Windhoek City Police Service had the pleasure of hosting officials from the Ministry of Health and Social Services, namely Dr. Amenenge Shakela, Dr. Anna Iiyambo and Dr. Nelao Mhata, who conducted a seminar for members on matters relating to mental health.
The session provided officers with practical insights into mental health conditions and equipped them with essential skills on how to effectively and compassionately attend to calls involving individuals experiencing mental health challenges. This will empower officers to respond appropriately to such situations and strengthen the delivery of professional policing services.
The Windhoek City Police Service extends its sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Health and Social Services for sharing their expertise and contributing to the continued professional development of our members.
