CIVIC PROPHET: They keep chasing shadows while letting the real problems slide.

To me, it does not make sense to focus on arresting voices like VeryDarkbBlackMan and lawyer Deji, especially at a time when kidnappings and insecurity continue to torment the country.

When insecurity is consuming innocent lives daily, many citizens believe that priorities should be carefully reconsidered.

Silencing voices while fear spreads across communities may only deepen public frustration.

STREET INTEL: StreetIntel observed that many activists and analysts are raising questions about the reported $9 million U.S. lobbying contract allegedly linked to efforts aimed at influencing international narratives surrounding the k!l!ngs and security crisis affecting Christian communities in Nigeria.

The affected citizens are now demanding an answer why the government prioritise covering crimes while innocent citizens perish.

CIVIC PROPHET: Adams Oshiomhole, let us stay with the facts and dates.

The Bakassi Boys were officially disbanded in 2002.

Peter Obi became Governor of Anambra State in March 2006.

Therefore, attributing the activities of the Bakassi Boys to Peter Obi's administration is historically inaccurate.

On 15 April 2014, then Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, publicly described Anambra as one of the safest states in Nigeria based on security records available at the time.

Police also highlighted that Anambra recorded no bank robbery incidents during the final years of Peter Obi's administration.

Facts should not be mixed with politics.

The Bakassi Boys belonged to the Chinwoke Mbadinuju era, not the Peter Obi era. They were outlawed in 2002, while Peter Obi became governor in 2006. Dates matter.

History should be told correctly, because dates do not change. Adams Oshiomhole please take note.

CIVIC PROPHET: The U.S. House has voted 217 - 198 (Republicans 217, Democrats 198) in favour of requiring schools to obtain explicit parental permission before changing a student's gender identity, pronouns, or name.

And as the Civic Prophet, I support this decision.

Parents are the first guardians, first teachers, and first protectors of their children. Schools should educate children, not make deeply personal decisions concerning them without parental knowledge and involvement.

Families become stronger when trust, transparency, and cooperation exist between parents and schools.

STREET INTEL: Peter Obi says insecurity would become his administration's top priority if elected president in 2027.

According to him, the Nigerian state cannot share authority with terrorists, insisting that one side must be in charge.

He also pointed to his record as former governor of Anambra State, arguing that he confronted insecurity decisively during his tenure.

Peter Obi further stated that he is prepared to sacrifice for Nigeria and would always return home in times of crisis.
