The National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC, at its 188th Meeting held on May 6, 2026, approved a waiver for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and deemed him duly screened for the Party’s forthcoming presidential primaries.

The decision, made in line with the APC Constitution, followed overwhelming endorsements and votes of confidence received from key Party stakeholders, including the Progressive Governors Forum, the National Assembly leadership, and other Party organs.

On the party’s electoral process, our National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, has already made the party’s position clear.

APC remains a democratic party, guided by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Party’s Constitution, and Guidelines. Consensus is only valid where all aspirants willingly agree. Where that does not happen, the party proceeds to direct primaries.

That position is already on record. The party does not disenfranchise anyone.

APC EXTENDS ASPIRANTS’ FORMS SALE AND SUBMISSION DEADLINES, ADJUSTS SCREENING DATES FOR 2027 ELECTIONS

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved a further extension of the timelines for the sale and submission of completed aspirants’ Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms, as well as the screening process for the 2027 General Elections.

Key Extensions

• Sale of Forms: Extended to midnight, Wednesday, 6th May 2026

• Submission of Forms: Extended to midnight, Thursday, 7th May 2026

• Screening of Aspirants: Friday, 8th May 2026 – Tuesday, 12th May 2026

• Publication of Screened Aspirants: Wednesday, 13th May 2026

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for the 2027 General Elections.

Form sales will now close at midnight on Monday, May 4, 2026, while submission of completed forms and accompanying documents has been extended to midnight on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

The extension was approved by the Party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to accommodate the public holiday and increased participation by aspirants.
