In a renewed offensive against criminality within Lagos transportation hubs, Taskforce operatives conducted a predawn raid at Terminal 2 Bus Station, Oshodi, apprehending 18 suspects who had surreptitiously transformed sections of the terminal into illegal dwellings and operational hideouts.

Strategic Infrastructure Update: Progress on the Marina Interchange Hub

As part of our commitment to sustainable urban mobility, LAMATA recently hosted a review delegation from our funding partners, the French Development Agency (AFD), to evaluate milestones on the Quality Bus Corridors (QBCs) and the Marina Interchange Hub.
Following an in-house technical briefing, the delegation conducted a physical site inspection at Marina. AFD Task Team Leader, Anne Chaussavoine, commended the visible 18-month progress, noting the completion of pedestrian and cycling lanes that enhance inner-neighborhood access. With the challenging marine foundation works now finalized, construction is transitioning to the main terminal buildings and the ferry station, aiming for a 2027 completion timeline.
By creating centralized transfer centers, we are reducing travel times, easing congestion, and formalizing the transport landscape.
