NSCDC LAGOS STATE COMMAND MAKES SEIZURE OF FOUR THOUSAND LITRES OF PMS FROM CRIMINAL ELEMENTS IN BADAGRY.

In line with the clear vision of the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD., mni, OFR to deploy the three ( 3 ) Cs; Collaboration, Cooperation and Coordination as part of strategic operational methods to dislodge the illegal activities of vandals and economic saboteurs in the country, the Lagos State Command has achieved another milestone with its recent display of successful operational activities today.

2.The State Commandant, NSCDC, Lagos State Command, Mr Adedotun Keshinro today, Wednesday, 12th November, 2025 paraded over four thousand litres of Petrol Motor Spirit ( PMS ) recovered from smugglers who attempted to cart away the product through illegal routes and the water ways in the Badagry axis of the state .

3.On Friday, 7th November, 2025 the Badagry Division led by its Divisional Officer, Chief Superintendent of Corps Ekunola Gbenga upon receiving credible and actionable intelligence about the illicit activities of some unscrupulous elements moved swiftly into action to stop them. The criminal elements known for syphoning fuel and other petroleum products in the axis took to their heels and abandoned about one one hundred and fifty ( 150 ) 25 litre yellow kegs and other Ragolis containers containing petroleum products with some additional kegs set for loading before their interception by the gallant officers and men of the Corps .

4.The Lagos State Commandant appreciated the Nigerian Navy also for handing over recovered seventy three ( 73 ) 25 litre yellow kegs of PMS to the Badagry Division of the Command as a result of the good collaborations that exist between both services in the state .

5.The Lagos State Commandant while addressing the press at the Badagry Division today, Wednesday, seized the opportunity to warn all unrepentant saboteurs to desist from their dastardly and evil action especially during this end of the year season where they are ready to do anything to make money. He affirmed that they will be met with stiffer resistance by the gallant men of the Corps in the state.

6.He further warned all illegal dredgers carrying out their activities under the Third mainland, Carter and Eko bridges to stop their untoward act capable of undermining the integrity of the bridges and causing the destruction of lives and the nation's critical asset and infrastructure .

7.The Lagos State Command shall also continue to engage stakeholders on the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure ( CNAI ) in the state as the ongoing initiative will be launched in Lagos West on Tuesday, 18th November, 2025 to further demonstrate the Command's penchant for community awareness and sensitization.

8.The good people of Lagos State are therefore, assured of the Command's unflinching resolve to continue to work assiduously with other security agencies and all relevant stakeholders to forestall any act of economic sabotage that could cost them their peace, safety and security.

CG NSCDC ATTENDS FELLOWSHIP CONFERMENT OF CC ONANUGA IDOWU AFOLABI AT INVESTITURE OF NIGERIAN INSTITUTE OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS.

The Nigerian Institute of Mechanical Engineers held its 38th International Conference and Annual General Meeting yesterday, Thursday, 17th October, 2025 in Ikeja, Lagos.

It was a conference that brought seasoned and industry experts from the Mechanical Engineering field and all other walks of life under the same roof to celebrate professional, career progression and excellence in practice.

The Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD., mni, OFR was ably represented at the event by Mr Keshinro Adedotun, the Lagos State Commandant to honour one of the Corps' products, Commandant of Corps Onanuga Idowu Afolabi, MNSE, MNIMechE, a Fellowship conferee.

The Commandant General has continued to provide career development opportunities for officers and men of the Corps within and outside the service to make them more professional and excellent in service delivery to the nation.

NSCDC LAGOS LAUNCHES MAIDEN STAKEHOLDERS MEETING TO PROTECT INTEGRITY OF BRIDGES, CURB ILLEGAL DREDGING.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command launches its maiden meeting with stakeholders to protect the integrity of bridges in the state.

The maiden summit drew industry practitioners from Federal Ministry of Works, Lagos State Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dredgers Association, who participated in the inaugural meeting today, Monday, 6th October , 2025., at the Federal Secretariat , TBS, Obalende, Lagos.

The State Commandant, NSCDC, Lagos State Command, Mr Keshinro Adedotun affirmed at the meeting that in line with the directive of the Office of the National Security Adviser ( ONSA ), this maiden meeting was called to bring stakeholders together to discuss the protection of the integrity of our bridges and ensure illegal dredging is eradicated in the state.

The Lagos State Commandant re - iterated at the meeting that all hands must be brought on deck to achieve this task through continuous engagement, sensitization, site inspection and formidable enforcement.

The Stakeholders seized ways to curb illegal and unauthorized dredging that often lead to the collapse of bridges, which have tendencies of crippling the state and the nation's economy.

The stakeholders' engagement is ongoing to ensure that no stone is left unturned in carrying out the enormous assignment to ensure the integrity of our bridges and curb illegal dredging in the state .

NSCDC LAGOS LAUNCHES CNAI - NPPS SUMMIT, VOWS TO COLLABORATE WITH ALL STAKEHOLDERS .

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command launches its State - Level Coordination Meeting on the Protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure ( CNAI ) - today, Monday, 22nd September, 2025, held at IHS, office, Ikoyi, Victoria Island, Lagos .

The Summit is a part of the implementation framework of the 2024 CNAI National Protection Policy and Strategy ( NPPS ) as duly asserted by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria , Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Grand Commander of the Federal Republic ( GCFR ) and Commander - In - Chief .

While delivering is Keynote speech today, the State Commandant , NSCDC, Lagos State Command , Mr Keshinro Adedotun affirmed that the State - Level Coordination Summit is convened at the directive of the Office of the National Security Adviser ( ONSA ), who has tasked the Corps to join forces in safeguarding those assets that underpin the safety , stability and economic well - being of our nation .

He further says that Lagos hosts some of the most critical assets ; our seaports and airports , energy facilities , telecommunications hubs, financial institutions and major transport corridors and as such makes the state both a strength to the nation and a prime target of hostile actors .

The Chief Corporate services, IHS, Mr Dapo Otunla welcomes all Stakeholders to the IHS facility where the meeting takes place and seizes the opportunity to commend all participating agencies and services as he charges them to see the round table meeting as an opportunity to proffer solution needed to ensure the protection of our collective critical national assets and infrastructure across the country.

The event draws goodwill messages from the Lagos State Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy, Nigerian Communications Commission, ICPC and EFCC amongst others .

The representatives and stakeholders of various agencies, who speaks at the event today, commends the NSCDC, Lagos State Command, for putting the event together and deepening robust engagements tailored towards enhancing collaboration and collective approach of tackling the untoward vandalism of assets and infrastructure in the country by unscrupulous elements .

The State - Level Coordination Meeting welcomes also interventions, contributions and suggestions from the participating distinguished stakeholders, who attends the event .

The participants agree that a more robust framework be put in place to allow for the participation of more stakeholders in the implementation framework of CNAI - NPPS in the country amongst others.

The Lagos State Commandant of the NSCDC also affirmed that other level meetings will also come up with Traditional Institutions , Religious Organizations and other relevant stakeholders in the state and contributions received from all these engagements will form the context of the communique that will be submitted .

The event hosts critical stakeholders, which cut across all Security Agencies / Services and private establishments such as the Lagos State Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, IHS, Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army , Nigerian Navy, Nigerian Airforce, Department of State Services , Nigeria Immigration Service , Nigeria Correctional Service , Federal Fire Service , Economic and Financial Crimes Commission , Independent Corrupt Practices and and Related Offences Commission, MTN, AIRTEL, Nigeria Electricity Management Services Agency, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency , National Orientation Agency , Nigeria Communications Commission , MENJ Oil, FIBER ONE, Eko Electricity Distribution Company, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Scrap Dealers Association Lagos State Chapter, Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company and many other relevant agencies .

LAGOS STATE COMMANDANT PERFORMS 2 NEW SETS OF GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY IN IMOTA AND ISIU, IKORODU.

In pursuit of the Corps' mandate, the State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, Mr Keshinro Adedotun has earlier today, Thursday, 4th September, 2025, performed another two ( 2 ) new sets of groundbreaking ceremony, on the sites where the Imota and Isiu Divisions ( in Imota and Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area ), will be situated, respectively.

The Lagos State Commandant, while delivering his address at the ceremonies, today, lauded, the efforts of traditional institutions towards ensuring adequate security for their subjects, with the provision of sites and assistance to build befitting Area Command and Divisional Offices, for the Corps to operate smoothly, in the state.

The Lagos State Comandant appreciated the Executive Chairman of Imota LCDA, Honourable Sunday Benson and his Vice Chairman, Honourable Princess Abisoye for their tireless support towards the formations in their jurisdiction. He also thanked the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, Honourable Ameen Olawale Ibrahim Apanisile and his Vice Chairman, Honourable Matthew Adesanya .

In the same vein, he also lauded the collaborations that exist between the traditional institutions and the NSCDC in Lagos as he described, it to be a very robust one, which has resulted into what was witnessed, today, with visible strategic results in the reduction of vandalism of critical national assets and infrastructure in various communities in the state .

The Lagos State Commandant sincerely thanked the two ( 2 ) kings; His Royal Majesty Oba Ajibade Mudashiru Bakare Agoro, Olufoworesete II, The Ranodu of Imota and HRM Oba Olukayode David Raji, JP, Olugbade II, Eweye of Isiu, who donated lands for the building of befitting Divisional offices for the aforementioned Divisions.

In a remarkable statement, by the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, at the groundbreaking ceremony in Isiu, he affirmed his joy with the unfolding development, which has ushered in the establishment of a Divisional office in Isiu, especially, as the first by any security agency in the state .

The Honourable Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, pledged his support towards ensuring the speedy delivery of a befitting office for the Corps on the location that was commissioned, today . He further promised, to support the efforts of the Oba in no small measure by working with the Corps closely, to achieve their goal, which is safety and security of their entire LCDA.

The Traditional leaders aforementioned, while addressing guests at the respective groundbreaking ceremonies today, avowed their unflinching commitment to the safety of their subjects especially, through increasing gestures of this manner to the Corps and other security agencies in their communities.

Present to witness the groundbreaking ceremonies today, at Imota and Isiu include; NSCDC Area B Command, Ikorodu, Ikosi - Ejirin, Imota and Isiu Divisions, 174 Battalion Nigerian Army, NDLEA, Federal Road Safety Corps, LNSC and local security network such as Onyabo et ce tera . Others include elder state men, religious leaders, women leaders, youths, unions etc .
