Today, I attended the valedictory and memorial session held in honour of a remarkable public servant, a patriot, and a devoted son of Benue, the Late Dr. Moses Agbogbo Ode, who served our state diligently as Head of Service.

In recognition of his outstanding service and invaluable contributions, I have directed that the newly acquired Government Estate located around the Welfare Quarters area be named “Dr. Moses Agbogbo Ode Civil Servants’ Estate”. This is a modest but lasting tribute to a man who gave his best in service to our people.

I have also declared Thursday, June 11, 2026, a work-free day for all civil servants in Benue State to enable them to participate fully in his burial rites and honour his memory.

On behalf of the Government and people of Benue State, I extend my deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. May God grant them the strength to bear this irreparable loss, and may the soul of our beloved Dr. Moses Agbogbo Ode rest in peace. Amen.

Today, I assented to the Benue State Electricity Law 2026, a landmark legislation designed to transform our state’s power sector and unlock new economic opportunities for our people.

This law is a deliberate step toward strengthening our economy. It reflects our commitment to job creation, industrial development, improved public services, and a higher quality of life for every household in Benue State.

Through this law, we are laying a solid foundation for:
• A more reliable and stable electricity supply
• Increased investment and accelerated industrialisation
• Sustainable job creation, particularly for our youths
• Enhanced protection of electricity consumers
• Expanded access to electricity in rural and underserved communities

For too long, limited power supply has held back progress in our dear state. With this decisive step, we are working to change that and move Benue State to the next level of unprecedented development.

What you see in this video represents jobs for our people, opportunities for our farmers, industrial growth, and a stronger economy for Benue.

We are building a new Benue where our produce is processed at home, our youths are employed at home, and our wealth is created at home.

Watch. Share. Be proud of the new Benue we are building.

Watch highlights from the flag-off of the 2026 Fertilizer and Farm Inputs Sales and Distribution Exercise, where we delivered on our promise to support farmers with a fertilizer subsidy of over 50%, reducing the price to just ₦28,000 per bag.

Today, I officially flagged off the 2026 Fertilizer and Farm Inputs Sales and Distribution Exercise, and I am pleased to announce that our administration has subsidized fertilizer by 51%, reducing the cost to our farmers to just ₦28,000 per bag.

This is about empowering our farmers, lowering production costs, increasing food production, creating jobs, and strengthening the economies of our rural communities.

As the Food Basket of the Nation, Benue must continue to lead in agricultural productivity. That is why we are expanding land aggregation, increasing access to quality farm inputs, improving rural roads, promoting irrigation farming, supporting agro-processing, and creating more opportunities for youths and women in agribusiness.

This programme will reach all 23 Local Government Areas, with strict transparency measures to ensure that every genuine farmer benefits. We will not tolerate diversion, exploitation, or any form of malpractice.

Agriculture remains the backbone of our economy, and together, we will make Benue not only the Food Basket of Nigeria but also a leading agricultural powerhouse in Africa.

To all our hardworking farmers: the government is standing with you. Let us cultivate more land, produce more food, create more wealth, and build a greater Benue for generations to come.

Today, I had the honour of swearing in Hon. Justice Christine Terlumun Clement Ende as a Judge of the High Court of Benue State.

Her elevation reflects over three decades of distinguished service in the legal profession and public service.

With this appointment, Benue now has 33 judges, including 14 women, reaffirming our commitment to merit, inclusivity, and the empowerment of women through our “He for She” philosophy.

I congratulate Justice Ende and charge her to serve with integrity, courage, fairness, and fidelity to the Constitution.

Our administration remains committed to strengthening the judiciary and upholding the rule of law in Benue State.

Congratulations, My Lord.

HAPPY 3RD ANNIVERSARY IN OFFICE TO ALL OF US.

Three years ago, you gave me your trust to lead Benue at a critical moment in our history. Today, I return that trust with deeper commitment, renewed strength, and greater determination to serve you better.

Together, we have made significant progress in education, infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture, ICT, security, and human capital development, etc. We have also faced challenges, but we remain focused and unshaken.

To every Benue family, please hear me clearly:

“I will stop at nothing to keep our people, our state, and our families safe.”

Thank you for your prayers, support, and belief in our shared vision of a new Benue.

The journey continues, and we are not slowing down.

God bless Benue State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
