International Women’s Day 2026

This International Women’s Day, Higher Ground Nepal celebrates the power of women and the spirit of “Give to Gain.”

When we give opportunities, support, knowledge, and respect to women and girls, we all gain a stronger, more inclusive, and empowered society. Every act of support helps unlock potential, inspire leadership, and create lasting change in our communities.

Let us continue to give our voice, time, and support so that women everywhere can thrive, lead, and inspire the next generation. Because when women rise, everyone gains.

Together, let’s build a future where equality, dignity, and opportunity are shared by all.

Higher Ground Community Development Nepal (HGCDN), we believe that empowerment, awareness, and safety are essential steps toward ending violence.

On the occasion of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, we conducted a Self-Defense Training at Arko Pana Nepal, in collaboration with Arko Pana Nepal.

This training aimed to equip participants with practical skills, confidence, and the mindset needed to protect themselves in unsafe situations. Beyond physical techniques, the session also focused on awareness, boundary-setting, and understanding the importance of speaking up against any form of violence.

We are grateful for the active participation, shared energy, and commitment to creating a safer community for all.

Let’s continue raising our voices, standing together, and empowering one another to end GBV.

Together, we learn. Together, we resist. Together, we rise.
