Our Story

KJC is a music school that opened its doors to Nepal 10 years ago. Since then it has been giving access to musical and creative education for thousands of students.

As an organization with a social purpose, since 2007, we have brought in hundreds of internationally qualified artists to Nepal and served over 500 scholarships to students. We have provided free music education to orphanages and schools and organized many international level cultural events. Many of the students who we have trained with us are now professional musicians. Some of them are touring the world with their music and the teachers we have trained have institutions of their own in different parts of the country. They will now carry the torch forward.

Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory Foundation is a non-profit community with the aim of developing and supporting these projects, making them grow and provide for more people. However, the utmost emphasis will be placed on making each and every project intrinsically self-sustainable.
