On June 24 2026, personnel of 2nd La Union PMFC led by PSSg Wilfred Julius Marrero, under the supervision of PLTCOL ROLAND M KINGAT, Force Commander, conducted coordination to the personnel of Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction And Management Office (MDRRMO) of Burgos, La Union for the preparation of the typhoon Francisco. The objective was to evaluate joint operational readiness and to strengthen the partnership and communication protocols between the PNP and MDRRMO during localized emergencies and natural calamities.

On June 24, 2026, personnel of 2nd La Union PMFC, led by PCMS Rodolfo E Imperial, under the supervision of PLTCOL ROLAND M KINGAT, Force commander, conducted a lecture on the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) and discussed the rationale and objectives of NTF-ELCAC, which aims to address the root causes of insurgency and terrorism through the implementation of various programs and projects in partnership with different government agencies and emphasized the importance of community participation in the said programs and encouraged the barangay officials of Brgy. San Juan East, Aringay, La Union to support the government's efforts to promote peace and development. Likewise, discussed the Anti-Illegal Drugs Campaign which focused on the dangers of illegal drugs, its impact on individuals, families, and society, and the different approaches of the government to combat it and the importance of reporting and seeking assistance from the authorities in case of suspicious activities related to illegal drugs.

Likewise, distributed IEC materials with regard to the aforementioned topics and encouraged them to provide information to the given contact number of our unit for immediate police response to the possible emerging crimes within the AOR.
