In line with the directives of 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐃 𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐀, 𝐌𝐏𝐒𝐀, NFTI Director, a productive meeting was held with the Philippine National Driving Academy to explore a potential partnership in support of the upcoming implementation of the 6-Month Fire Basic Recruit Course (FBRC).

The collaboration focuses on enhancing the competencies of future firefighters in Defensive Driving and Simple Mechanics, essential skills in the safe operation, handling, and basic maintenance of fire trucks and ambulances.

This initiative underscores the Institute’s commitment to forging strategic linkages with reputable training institutions and organizations to ensure a more professional, structured, and competency-based approach in firefighter development.
Through this partnership, NFTI continues to advance its mission of producing highly skilled, operationally ready, and safety-conscious fire service professionals capable of responding effectively to emergencies and safeguarding lives and communities.

The National Fire Training Institute (NFTI) conducted a Revision of Manning Compliment meeting aimed at reviewing and enhancing the institute's organizational structure to better support its operational and administrative requirements. The activity was facilitated by Deputy Director, 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐆𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐍 𝐌 𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐙𝐀𝐑, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, under the leadership of 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐃 𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐀, 𝐌𝐏𝐒𝐀, and brought together the Division and Section Chiefs of NFTI in a collaborative discussion on personnel allocation, functional responsibilities, and organizational efficiency.

Through the active participation of the institute's key officials, the activity provided a platform for assessing current manpower requirements and identifying opportunities to further strengthen NFTI's capability to fulfill its mandate. The initiative reflects the institute's commitment to continuous improvement, effective resource management, and the delivery of quality public service through a responsive and well-structured workforce.

Under the prayerful and inspiring leadership of NFTI Director 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐃 𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐀, 𝐌𝐏𝐒𝐀, with the steadfast guidance of 𝐅𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐘 𝐂 𝐍𝐔𝐘𝐋𝐄𝐒 𝐉𝐑, Chief Tactical Officer, and the devoted mentorship of 𝐒𝐅𝐎𝟒 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐮𝐬 𝐐 𝐕𝐚𝐬𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐳, Overall Learning Manager, 𝐅𝐁𝐑𝐂 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐍𝐨. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔–𝟏𝟒𝟑 𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐆𝐀𝐍 gathered in humble thanksgiving during its Baccalaureate Mass earlier today.

Before marching across the stage, the class first knelt before the One who carried them through every challenge.

Today, the Catholic trainees of FBRC CLASS NO. 2026-143 "PANDARAIGAN" gathered as one family for the Baccalaureate Mass—a moment of thanksgiving, reflection, and surrender. Every sleepless night, every drop of sweat, every obstacle, and every victory became a testament to God's unwavering grace throughout our journey.

As they prepare to close this chapter of training and embrace the responsibilities that await them, with humble hearts, knowing that strength has never been theirs alone. They entrust the future to the Lord, asking Him to guide their hands in service, fill their hearts with compassion, and keep the commitment to protect life and property grounded in faith and integrity.

This is more than a celebration of reaching the finish line—it is a reminder that every achievement begins and ends with gratitude to God.

Under the leadership of 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐃𝐎𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑-𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐀, 𝐌𝐏𝐒𝐀, Director of the National Fire Training Institute, and under the supervision of 𝐅𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐄𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐄𝐋 𝐀𝐋𝐃𝐄𝐍 𝐒 𝐑𝐈𝐙𝐎𝐍, together with the guidance of SFO1 Noel S Marquez, and the tactical officers on duty at the NFTI Region V Satellite Campus, Class “SARAG-TALAS,” conducted a comprehensive grooming and uniform inspection of Charlie Company.

The activity emphasized the importance of proper grooming, correct uniform wear, and professional appearance as essential qualities of future firefighters. By maintaining a neat and disciplined image, trainees strengthen their confidence, professionalism, and uphold the standards expected in delivering quality public service.

Beyond appearance, inspections serve as a vital training tool that enables instructors to identify and address minor deficiencies—such as improper uniform wear, missing paraphernalia, or lapses in personal hygiene—before they become operational concerns. This was particularly evident during the inspection of Charlie Company, an all-female contingent, where close attention to detail reinforced discipline, consistency, and readiness among the trainees.

Ultimately, grooming and uniform inspections go beyond routine evaluations. Trainees found to have deficiencies in grooming standards or improper uniform wear were issued corresponding demerits, reinforcing accountability and adherence to established regulations. Through the timely identification and correction of these shortcomings, trainees develop greater discipline, enabling them to carry out their duties effectively, safely, and with pride in service.

With pride in their hearts and service as their calling, FBRC CL "SARAG-TALAS" stands united during today's Flag Raising Ceremony under the leadership of 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐃𝐎𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑-𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐀, 𝐌𝐏𝐒𝐀, NFTI Director. The activity was also attended and supported by 𝐅𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐄𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐄𝐋 𝐀𝐋𝐃𝐄𝐍 𝐒 𝐑𝐈𝐙𝐎𝐍, Chief Tactics. Together, they rise with purpose and continue their journey toward becoming dedicated public servants. The ceremony served as an opportunity to begin the week with renewed purpose while reflecting on values that continue to guide the organization in fulfilling its mandate.

Serving as the Troop Information and Education (TI&E) Speaker was Fire Trainee 𝐴𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑛 𝐽𝑎𝑦 𝐿𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑜𝑛𝑔𝑎𝑛, Bravo Company Commander, who delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking message on the essence of leadership. Quoting, 𝐿𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑠ℎ𝑖𝑝 𝑖𝑠 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑑𝑒𝑓𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑑 𝑏𝑦 𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑘 𝑜𝑟 𝑝𝑜𝑠𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛, 𝑏𝑢𝑡 𝑏𝑦 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑣𝑒, 𝑖𝑛𝑠𝑝𝑖𝑟𝑒, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑑 𝑏𝑦 𝑒𝑥𝑎𝑚𝑝𝑙𝑒.” he emphasized that true leadership is rooted in integrity and selfless service.

In his address, fire trainee Lintongan highlighted that effective leadership is not defined by authority or position, but by one's actions, commitment to excellence, and ability to motivate others toward a common purpose. His message encouraged fellow trainees to lead by example, uphold the highest standards of professionalism, and remain steadfast in their dedication to public service.

In recognition of his exemplary presentation and the positive impact of his message, a 𝘔𝘦𝘥𝘢𝘭𝘺𝘢 𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘢𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘪 was conferred upon fire trainee Lintongan as a commendation for his outstanding contribution to the Troop Information and Education program.

Also highlighted during the program was the presentation of commendations and merit awards to deserving trainees in recognition of their exceptional dedication, active participation, and valuable contributions to various institutional activities and programs.
Among those recognized were the members of the 𝘚𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘋𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘋𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘉𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘥𝘦, whose outstanding performances contributed to the success of the Recognition Rites of Class “SARAG-TALAS.” Special recognition was also given to the 𝐴𝑙𝑡𝑎𝑟 𝑆𝑒𝑟𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑠 for their commitment and reverence in assisting during every Holy Mass attended by the fire trainees at the Carmelite Nuns of the Holy Trinity, Kawa-kawa Hill, Ligao, City. Their faithful service reflected the values of spirituality, discipline, and devotion upheld by the institute. In addition, awards were conferred upon the 𝑆𝑝𝑜𝑟𝑡𝑠 𝐶𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑖𝑡𝑡𝑒𝑒, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑀𝑜𝑠𝑡 𝑉𝑎𝑙𝑢𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑃𝑙𝑎𝑦𝑒𝑟𝑠 (𝑀𝑉𝑃𝑠) for their remarkable achievements and contributions during the Sportsfest. 𝐸𝑐ℎ𝑜 𝐶𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑎𝑛𝑦 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝐹𝑜𝑥𝑡𝑟𝑜𝑡 𝐶𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑎𝑛𝑦 were likewise honored as the Overall Champions, demonstrating exceptional teamwork, sportsmanship, and competitive excellence throughout the event.

The awarding ceremony served not only as a recognition of individual and collective accomplishments but also as a testament to the trainees’ commitment to excellence, leadership, and service. Through these commendations, the National Fire Training Institute reaffirmed its dedication to fostering a culture of professionalism, discipline, and holistic development among future firefighters. The recognition of these achievements stands as an inspiration for all trainees to continue striving for excellence and to uphold the highest standards of integrity, competence, and public service in their future careers.
