Earlier today at 9:00 AM, Lecheria Integrated School actively participated in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) as part of its continued commitment to promoting disaster preparedness and strengthening the culture of safety among learners and school personnel.

Teachers, learners, and school staff took part in the drill by practicing the proper earthquake response procedures, including “Duck, Cover, and Hold” and orderly evacuation protocols to designated safe areas.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Barangay Quick Response Team (BQRT) for their assistance, support, and guidance during the conduct of the drill. Your presence and commitment to community safety greatly contributed to the success of this activity. 💚

EARTHQUAKE DRILL CONDUCTED FOR GRADE 7 LEARNERS 🚨🏫

As part of Lecheria Integrated School's commitment to promoting disaster preparedness and ensuring the safety of its learners, an Earthquake Drill was successfully conducted for our Grade 7 students last June 10, 2026.

The activity aimed to equip learners with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond appropriately during earthquake emergencies. Through guided demonstrations and practical exercises, students were able to practice the proper "Duck, Cover, and Hold" procedure, evacuation protocols, and other essential safety measures.

In light of the recent earthquake that affected parts of Mindanao, this activity served as a timely reminder of the importance of preparedness and vigilance. While earthquakes cannot be predicted, being informed and prepared can help minimize risks and save lives during emergencies.

Lecheria Integrated School successfully conducted the Beginning of School Year (BOSY) Assessment through the Philippine Informal Reading Inventory (Phil-IRI) as part of its commitment to strengthening literacy and promoting reading proficiency among learners.

The activity, aptly titled "Unlocking Reading Potentials," was spearheaded by Mrs. Maria Cielo A. Bataanon, Head Teacher III of the English Department, and Mrs. Remelyn P. Villanueva, Head Teacher III of the Filipino Department, in collaboration with the English and Filipino teachers.

The assessment aims to determine learners' reading levels, identify strengths and areas for improvement, and gather essential data that will serve as the basis for targeted reading interventions and instructional planning throughout the school year.

Through the conduct of the Phil-IRI, the school seeks to ensure that every learner receives the necessary support to develop strong literacy skills, enhance comprehension, and foster a lifelong love for reading.

The program began with registration and opening ceremonies, followed by the Opening Remarks of Mrs. Tessie L. Cadaucan, Head Teacher III, who warmly welcomed the parents and emphasized the importance of a strong partnership between the school and home in promoting student success.

A significant highlight of the summit was the presentation of the school's accomplishments and the orientation on the Three-Term School Calendar, led by our School Principal, Mrs. Charito V. Bernas. She shared important updates on the school's programs, achievements, and academic expectations, providing parents with a clear understanding of the direction and goals of the school for the current academic year.

Following this, Mrs. Ma. Ellen B. Hadap, Guidance Designate, discussed the school's Code of Discipline, orienting parents on student conduct, responsibilities, and school policies that help maintain a safe, respectful, and learner-centered educational environment.

Throughout the five-day activity, parents, learners, teachers, alumni, community partners, and stakeholders generously shared their time, effort, skills, and resources, embodying the true spirit of bayanihan.
