Three-Year Comprehensive Barangay Youth Development Plan (CBYDP) for the years 2025 to 2027 Workshop was conducted from July 30 to August 1, 2024, at Casa Le Anne, Barangay Macagtas, Catarman, Northern Samar.

Last May 13, 2024 the SK Officials, led by the SK Chairperson Hon. Edrian C. Velacio, organized a 6 days talent festival as a pre-celebration for the barangay fiesta. The preparation for this activity was initiated by the SK Officials in collaboration with the youth. The event was themed "Unity Through Sports, Embracing Oneness Amidst the Differences," emphasizing the importance of camaraderie and acceptance. It provided a space to relax, have fun, and most importantly, foster strong bonds among the youth. In appreciation of their efforts and hard work, the SK Officials prepared a small token of gratitude. To commemorate both victory and the acceptance of defeat, the youth and SK Officials arranged a simple victory party for the participants of the talent festival as they received their awards.

The Local Youth Development Office, along with the SK Chairpersons in Catarman, joined forces for the MYDC Training and Initial Presentation of the Catarman Youth Development Plan 2025 - 2027, which was conducted on June 9, 2024, at Deo's Pension House, Brgy. Dalakit. This one-day training focused on creating the CYDP and emphasized its importance for the next 3 years. Furthermore, during the training, the participants were captivated by how "YOU" as a youth play the most crucial role in nation-building and in creating a safe and productive environment for everyone. Additionally, various registered youth organizations from different barangays in Catarman were in attendance, as they share the same goal with the SKs and work hand-in-hand towards a better future.

As presented on the ABYIP, the SK officials, led by SK Chairperson Hon. Edrian C. Velacio, conducted the first KK Assembly that occurred on March 17, 2024, at 1:00 pm in Purok 2, Brgy. Chapel, Brgy. Cal-Igang, Catarman, N. Samar. Throughout the KK Assembly, each of the SK Officials presented their committee reports. Moreover, the assembly was graced by the presence of the punong barangay Hon. Edna P. Empon and some barangay councilors Hon. Lo**ta M. Legarse, Hon. Siony F. Delorino, and barangay secretary Mrs. Reña P. Velacio. Additionally, as the assembly continues the youth of barangay Cal-Igang voiced their concerns and questions regarding the welfare of the youth, which were addressed by the SK officials. As the assembly drew to a close, Hon. Edrian C. Velacio outlined their plans to the youth and sought their approval and suggestions.
