Esquivias, Deputy National Statistician of the Civil Registration and Central Support Office, emphasized the role of civil registration and the National ID System in helping refugees access essential services and opportunities.

Her message underscores that identity opens doors, and no one should be left behind in the country’s civil registration and National ID systems.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Region VII and PSA Cebu Province conducted a coordination meeting with the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) Cebu to strengthen collaboration in the generation, validation, and dissemination of agricultural statistics in Cebu Province.

The meeting served as a venue to discuss data-sharing initiatives, agricultural survey operations, fisheries and aquaculture statistics.The activity reaffirmed the commitment of PSA and OPA Cebu to work together in producing quality agricultural statistics that support the sustainable development of the agriculture sector in Cebu Province.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | The Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office VII joined the Launching of the Department of the Interior and Local Government's (DILG) Amuma sa Barangay Program held on 22 June 2026 at the Mini Hoops Dome, Olango Island, Lapu-Lapu City.

Representing PSA were Officer-in-Charge, Regional Director Wilma A. Perante and Chief Administrative Officer Edwina M. Carriaga, reaffirming the agency's commitment to empowering communities through accessible Civil Registration and National ID services.

In her message of support, RD Perante emphasized that the Amuma sa Barangay Program reflects the government's genuine care for communities while advancing gender equality and inclusive development. She also highlighted the importance of birth registration, stressing that a birth certificate is the foundation of every person's legal identity and serves as a gateway to rights, protection, and opportunities.

As part of the activity, PSA provided National ID registration and verification services to residents. In collaboration with the Department of the Interior and Local Government, Lapu-Lapu City Legal Teams and the Local Civil Registry Office, PSA also facilitated the birth registration of several residents of Olango Island.

Together, we continue to bring government services closer to the people—building empowered, inclusive, and resilient communities where every individual is registered and counted.

Noong 2025, ang National Capital Region (NCR) ang nagtala ng pinakamalaking Current Health Expenditure (CHE) na umabot sa PhP 338.32 bilyon, katumbas ng 19.5% ng kabuuang health spending ng bansa noong 2025. Kasunod nito ang Central Luzon na nagtala ng PhP 214.90 bilyon (12.4%), at CALABARZON na nagtala ng PhP 138.56 bilyon (8.0%).

Ang Current Health Expenditure ay tumutukoy sa kabuuang gastos sa pagkonsumo ng mga serbisyong pangkalusugan at produktong medikal. Hindi kasama rito ang mga gastusin para sa imprastruktura at kagamitang pangkalusugan (capital formation).

LOOK | PSA honors and supports refugees on National Refugee Day 2026

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) joins the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the global community in commemorating the 2026 National Refugee Day (NRD) today, 22 June, in pursuant of Presidential Proclamation No. 265, s. 2023.

During its flag-raising ceremony, PSA officials and employees observed Blue Monday by wearing blue and formed a symbolic blue ribbon as part of the PSA’s NRD Exhibit. The exhibit reflects the agency’s solidarity and support for those seeking safety and belongingness.

PSA Undersecretary Claire Dennis S. Mapa, PhD, National Statistician and Civil Registrar General, delivered the message of His Excellency President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., emphasizing the country’s commitment to protecting and supporting persons forced to flee their homes.

This year’s theme, “Solutions in Motion: Rebuilding Futures Together,” reminds us of our shared commitment as an Inter-Agency Committee Member to continuously implement initiatives, such as the provision of National ID services, in support of refugees, asylum seekers, and stateless individuals.
