On May 21, 2026, a fire alarm was reported at 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐚, 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨, prompting an immediate response from the 𝐂𝐨𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞𝐫 (𝐂𝐏𝐘𝐑) in coordination with the 𝐂𝐨𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐞 and other responders. After several minutes, additional support arrived at the area, reinforcing the collaborative effort in managing the situation.

The incident was declared 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐄 𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐋 around 23:00, following the initial alert at 22:00. True to their commitment, the Cogon Pardo Youth Rescuer and Cogon Pardo Fire Brigade remain ready whatever and whenever there is a call for help, standing firm in their mission to serve and protect the community.

A tragic fire broke out in Barangay Ermita, Cebu City on April 4, 2026, leaving many families devastated. Dozens of homes were destroyed, and several families have been left without shelter, losing their daily necessities and treasured belongings in just a few hours.

The Cogon Pardo Youth Rescuer (CPYR) is reaching out to the community for donations to help these families rebuild their lives. In-kind support such as rice, water, groceries, clothing, blankets, pillows, hygiene kits, and medicine can be brought to the Barangay Cogon Pardo, Sangguniang Kabataan Office, 3rd Floor, Cebu City.

📌 Update: We also want to share that our donation drive for the Barangay Tisa fire victims last March is ongoing. We plan to personally deliver the collected donations this Wednesday — your contributions will go directly to helping those affected.
