June 18, 2026 | The TTBDO team visited the World Food Expo Mindanao at the SMX Convention Center in SM Lanang Premier to connect with prospective suppliers for the development of the Bakery Pilot Plant.

Sourcing top-tier bakery equipment and innovative packaging solutions to ensure the facility is optimally equipped to support the food innovation and technologies developed by UP Mindanao.

Development of the facility continues as part of TTBDO's commitment to enhancing bakery pilot plant capabilities, establishing an operational hub that bridges research, commercialization, and industry-standard production.

We would like to inform everyone that following the recent earthquake safety assessments, the TTBDO Office and Laboratory services at UP Mindanao will officially resume normal physical operations tomorrow, Wednesday, June 17, 2026.

Moving forward, our regular operating schedule will be as follows:

In order to give way to clearing operations and ensure the safety and welfare of individuals affected by flooding incidents in the city due to heavy rainfall brought by Easterlies and ITCZ on Monday evening, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔:

1. Face-to-face classes and school activities in ALL LEVELS in all public and private educational institutions in the city are hereby suspended;

2. Work in all national and local government offices, including government-owned and controlled corporations in Davao City, is suspended, EXCEPT for offices performing safety and security, health, social services and disaster and emergency response services;

3. Private offices and establishments are given the discretion to suspend work but are encouraged to do so for the welfare and safety of their employees.

May 5-6, 2026 | The UP Mindanao TTBDO participated in “Inoblasyon: The UP Innovation Summit 2026” SMX Convention Center Aura, BGC. As the university’s first-ever Innovation Summit and a key part of UP’s Flagship Program on Research and Innovation, the event gathered researchers, entrepreneurs, and government leaders to tackle national challenges through science and technology.

The summit featured plenary sessions and panel discussions focused on how research and collaboration can strengthen science, technology, and innovation to support national development goals.

UP Mindanao took this opportunity to showcase Technologies, specifically the Squid Bouillon Cubes, AI-Durian, Lactic Acid production, and EcoLime Render technology. By turning academic research into impact-driven solutions, the university continues to uphold its values of Honor, Excellence, and Service for the community and industry.
