He also conveyed the commendation of the Commanding General, Philippine Army, and assured the troops of the continued support of the Philippine Army and the Armed Forces of the Philippines in sustaining ongoing disaster response operations.
Major General Luzon also informed the troops that President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. had personally visited the affected areas twice within a week to assess the situation, ensure the continuous delivery of government assistance to affected families, and underscore the importance of safeguarding the welfare of frontline responders serving in earthquake-hit communities.
"The purpose of this visit is to personally check on our troops and ensure they remain healthy, motivated, and supported as they continue helping our fellow Filipinos recover from this disaster," Major General Luzon said.
The JTF Agila Commander likewise relayed the appreciation being expressed by local government units, stakeholders, and affected communities for the dedication and sacrifices of military responders. He emphasized that the troops' unwavering commitment continues to bring hope and assistance to communities recovering from the devastating earthquake.
