[22 JUNE 2026] | BFP 11 PARTICIPATES IN 2ND QUARTER RICG-11 COORDINATING MEETING

DAVAO CITY – The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 11, under the leadership of FCSUPT JUNITO F MASLANG, DSC, duly represented by FSSUPT ALEX M PAMAYBAY, Assistant Regional Director (ARD) for Operations, participated in the 2nd Quarter Regional Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs Coordinating Group (RICG)-11 Coordinating Meeting held on June 22, 2026, at The Ritz Hotel, Garden Oases, Barrio Obrero, Davao City. Organized by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 11 under the leadership of Atty. Benjamin G Gaspi, the meeting gathered heads and representatives of member agencies to discuss updates, programs, and activities related to the government's campaign against illegal drugs.

The activity aimed to strengthen inter-agency coordination, collaboration, and information sharing in support of the implementation of anti-illegal drug initiatives across the region.

Under the leadership of Regional Director 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐎 𝐅 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆 and the direct supervision of District Fire Marshal 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐃 𝐑 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐏𝐂𝐈𝐎𝐍, the Davao City Fire District – Special Rescue Force (DCFD-SRF) would like to express its heartfelt gratitude to Bureau of Fire Protection Officer-in-Charge 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐎 𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐎 𝐍𝐄𝐈𝐋 𝐀 𝐊𝐖𝐀𝐍 𝐓𝐈𝐔, and BFP Region 12 Acting Regional Director 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐄𝐃𝐆𝐀𝐑 𝐖 𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐍, for their support and confidence in the DCFD-SRF during the response operations following the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that affected parts of the SOCCSKSARGEN.

Your guidance and support enabled our team to respond effectively and carry out search, rescue, and humanitarian assistance operations for the affected communities. We are truly grateful for the trust you have given our personnel as we carried out our mission on the ground.

We also extend our appreciation to DCFD-EMS, BFP R12, BFP BARMM, BFP R10 BFP CARAGA, partner agencies, and volunteers who worked alongside us. The teamwork, dedication, and commitment shown by everyone involved reflected the spirit of service that our communities need during times of disaster.

As one BFP family, we remain ready to answer the call whenever and wherever needed.

BFP 11 Officers Honored at 60th Araw ng Tarragona, 1st Ka’anNiYogan Festival

​TARRAGONA, Davao Oriental — Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Region 11 Regional Director FCSUPT JUNITO F MASLANG , DSC, and Davao Oriental Provincial Fire Marshal FSUPT JOYCELYN HERNAEZ-GRANT were honored during the joint celebration of the 60th Araw ng Tarragona and the 1st Ka'anNiYogan Festival at the Municipal Grounds in Brgy. Central here, June 18.

​FCSUPT MASLANG and FSUPT GRANT received Plaques of Recognition for their outstanding service and dedication to ensuring public safety and fire resilience in the municipality.

​The awarding ceremony was witnessed by top provincial and local officials, led by Davao Oriental Governor Nelson L. Dayanghirang, Tarragona Mayor Art Benjie C. Bulaong, and Vice Mayor Nestor L. Uy. Members of the Sangguniang Bayan and the 1st District Board were also present to show their support.

​The recognition highlighted the strong partnership between the local government unit and the BFP, coinciding with the town's historic diamond milestone and its inaugural coconut-themed festival.

[16 JUNE 2026] | THE ‘WEIGHT’ IS OVER

The BFP 11- Regional Health Service, under the leadership of FCSUPT JUNITO F MASLANG, DSC, conducted a Medical Awareness Seminar on Weight Management entitled “Weight is Over” for BFP Region 11 personnel. Attended onsite by RHQ and DCFD personnel and virtually by fire stations across the region, the seminar featured Dr. Mahmod L. Bernardino Jr., who shared insights on healthy weight management and healthy lifestyle practices to promote the well-being of personnel, on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, held at the 5th flr. Multipurpose Hall, SAPD Building, Leon Garcia cor. Monteverde Sts., Davao City.
