Ngayong Araw ng Kalayaan, binibigyang-pugay natin ang sakripisyo ng ating mga bayani. Ang kalayaang tinatamasa natin ngayon ay pamanang humahamon sa ating isabuhay ang kanilang tapang sa pagharap sa mga krisis ng kasalukuyan.

Mabigat ang pinagdaraanan ng bansa dahil sa korupsiyon, mataas na presyo ng bilihin, at iba pang suliraning nagpapahirap sa mga ordinaryong pamilya. Ito ang panahon upang magkaisa tayo, magpakita ng disiplina, at ituwid ang sistema laban sa mga mapagsamantala.

Ang wagas na pagmamahal sa taumbayan ang gabay natin upang malagpasan ang mga pagsubok na ito. Magkaisa tayong protektahan ang interes ng bawat isa nang may katapatan at lakas ng loob, dahil walang ibang magtatanggol sa Pilipinas kundi tayo ring mga Pilipino.

Mabuhay ang malayang bansang Pilipinas!

I am deeply saddened by the tragic news of the drowning incident in Dipaculao, Aurora, which claimed the lives of two of our young student-athletes, Rene Clert Baterbonia and Divine Adili.

To lose such bright, talented, and promising individuals during what was supposed to be a bonding and team-building activity is a heartbreaking tragedy. Rene Clert and Divine represented the passion and future of our sports community, and their sudden departure leaves a void that can never be filled.

We stand in grief and solidarity with their families, friends, and teammates during this incredibly painful time.

Sa pamilya, mga kaibigan, at mga kasamahan nina Rene Clert at Divine, kaisa ninyo ako sa inyong pighati at panalangin. Nawa’y makatagpo kayo ng lakas at hapis sa piling ng bawat isa sa gitna ng matinding pagsubok na ito. Hindi matatapos ang kanilang kwento rito; mananatili ang kanilang alaala at sikhay sa puso ng bawat mamamayan. Sumalangit nawa ang inyong kaluluwa, Rene Clert at Divine.

CLASS AND WORK SUSPENSION

Due to the earthquake experienced in Davao City today, June 8, 2026, classes at all levels (in both public and private institutions) and work in all local and national government offices within the city are hereby suspended effective immediately.

Magpabiling kalmado ug mabinantayon, mga taga-Distrito Dos. Kanunay naga-monitor ang atong team sa kinatibuk-ang kahimtang, ug ang atong opisina padayong nakig-coordinate sa mga hingtungdan nga ahensya alang sa kaluwasan ug seguridad sa tanan.

Context: HONEST TAXI DRIVER SA Davao City

So, akoa father in law, nagsakay ug Taxi from Airport to balay, then after an HOUR pa niya na realize na nawala diay iyaha CELLPHONE.

Then we tried calling his phone, then the taxi driver answered. Tingala nami lahi nitubag. We asked for him to return the cellphone. Then, ana sya opo ibalik nako pero naa pako sa may Toril. Mga 8:30pm nako mabalik kay naghatod pa siyag pasahero.

Then, abi namo nangatik ra siya, but after we called him again. Otw na siya and gibalik jud niya ang Cellphone.

We were so grateful kay honest ang taxi driver na MASKI SA TORIL SIYA GIKAN unya OPPOSITE iyaha balikan, gibalik gyud niya.

Salute to all HONEST TAXI DRIVERS out there. 🫡🫡🫡

Please know that your fight for equality is a shared journey, and we must continue to stand firmly against discrimination so that every Filipino is protected, respected, and given a fair chance in life.

At the end of the day, regardless of our political views, we are all Filipinos. Let’s look out for one another and stand tall together.
