𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐞 (𝐈𝐓𝐃𝐎𝐄𝐱) 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 was held to inform the media and the public about the upcoming exercise, its objectives, and the activities to be conducted as part of the Iloilo Government's readiness efforts.

During the press conference, PCOL Cornelio Salinas, Head of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), emphasized that the exercise is designed to strengthen coordination, communication, and response capabilities among participating agencies in addressing potential security and emergency scenarios. He likewise assured the public that the 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐦.

The event provided an opportunity to discuss the purpose, scope, and significance of the exercise, ensuring that accurate information reaches communities and helping prevent misinformation and unnecessary public concern.

Through proactive information dissemination and engagement with media partners, the Iloilo Provincial Government aims to promote transparency, enhance public awareness, and reinforce the whole-of-government approach in advancing territorial defense, public safety, and community resilience in the Province of Iloilo.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: 𝐓𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐔𝐩𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐞 (𝐈𝐓𝐃𝐎𝐄𝐱)

The Iloilo Provincial Government, together with the Philippine Army, Philippine National Police (PNP), and Local Government Units of Miagao and San Joaquin successfully conducted a Tabletop Exercise aimed at enhancing interagency coordination and preparedness in addressing potential external threat scenarios within the province.

Participating agencies included the Office of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer (OPDRRMO), Provincial Community Defense Action Center (PCDAC) Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (OPPDC), Office of the Provincial Health Officer (OPHO), Office of the Hospital Management Officer (OHMO), Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer (OPSWDO), Information and Communications Technology Management Office (ICTMO), Provincial Information and Community Affairs Office (PICAO), Iloilo Provincial Police Office (IPPO), Miagao Municipal Police Station, San Joaquin Municipal Police Station, MDRRMO Miagao, MDRRMO San Joaquin, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), 3rd Infantry “Spearhead” Division, 301st Infantry Brigade, and the 61st Infantry Battalion.

The exercise provided participating agencies with the opportunity to assess response mechanisms, identify operational gaps, and develop actionable solutions through simulated crisis situations. It also strengthened collaboration among stakeholders in ensuring a coordinated and effective response to security and emergency concerns.

The activity underwent an evaluation facilitated by representatives from the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), Department of Health (DOH), and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), who provided insights and recommendations to further improve response plans and operational readiness.

The activity forms part of the preparations for the upcoming 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐞 (𝐈𝐓𝐃𝐎𝐄𝐱) and supports the implementation of Executive Order No. 111, Series of 2025, entitled “An Order Instituting the Provincial Community Defense Action for MoRProGRes Iloilo – Kapayapaan, Kaayusan, at Katatagan Tungo sa Kaunlaran ng Bagong Pilipinas.”

Through initiatives such as this, participating agencies continue to strengthen territorial defense, disaster preparedness, and whole-of-government coordination in safeguarding the people and communities of Iloilo Province.

EnP Griño joined the ranks of environmental planners within the provincial government who are dedicated in driving sustainable development in Iloilo.

As part of preparations for the upcoming "Pag Ugyon" Exercise, participating military units, offices of the Iloilo Provincial Government, and partner agencies conducted the Interagency Territorial Defense Operation Communication Exercise on 04 June 2026.

The activity was conducted to strengthen interagency coordination, enhance communication interoperability, validate established protocols, and ensure the readiness of participating military units, provincial government offices, and partner agencies for the successful conduct of the upcoming "Pag Ugyon" Exercise. Through continuous coordination and rehearsals, stakeholders further reinforced their capability to respond effectively and operate seamlessly during territorial defense, disaster response, and other emergency operations.

This initiative highlights the commitment to a whole-of-government approach in promoting preparedness, resilience, and public safety.
