LOOB Inc., a non-stock and non-profit organization registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission, shared its mission of fostering intercultural and educational exchange between Japanese and Filipino youth while promoting international cooperation and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For several years, the organization has actively implemented community-based initiatives in Iloilo City, particularly through youth and women empowerment programs and environmental advocacy efforts.
The discussion highlighted programs focused on youth and women empowerment, environmental stewardship, and circular economy initiatives that promote long-term sustainability and community resilience.
Through collaboration and a shared commitment, both parties aim to support sustainable development efforts and create more empowered, resilient, and environmentally responsible communities.

Participants have officially began practicing basic weaving techniques as they continue to develop their skills and creativity through hands-on learning at Arevalo Handwoven Products (AHP).
With patience, focus, and determination, the trainees are gradually learning the fundamentals of weaving while appreciating the artistry and cultural value behind every thread and pattern. This training not only provides practical livelihood skills but also inspires participants to become part of the next generation of weavers who will help preserve and sustain the tradition of Hablon in Iloilo City.

May 11, 2026 | As part of its continuing support interventions for women-led livelihood groups, the Iloilo City Government through the Iloilo City LEDIP Office, in coordination with Angat Buhay and United Nations Development Programme, conducted a Pricing and Costing Training and Workshop for WISE beneficiaries from Lanit, Jaro and San Juan, Molo.
The training served as a crucial and timely intervention as the groups have already started receiving orders and business transactions. Participants were guided on how to properly compute product costs and develop fair, sustainable, and competitive pricing strategies that will benefit both their enterprises and their customers. Special thanks to Ms. Mary Jane Tuares for sharing her expertise, practical insights, and valuable knowledge with the participants.

The session also enhanced their understanding of Financial Managementโhighlighting the significance of budgeting wisely, allocating resources effectively, managing risks, practicing discipline, and ensuring long-term sustainability.
