Padayon ang dredging kag clearing operations sa Iloilo-Batiano River bilang kabahin sang pagpatuman sang Oplan Kontra Baha, kasunod sa mandu ni President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. nga mapabaskog ang inisyatibo batok sa pagbaha.

Sa karon, nakalab-ot na sa 87.65 porsyento ang accomplishment sang operasyon sa nasambit nga lugar. Ginapatigayon man ang Oplan Kontra Baha sa iban pa nga bahin sang Region 6 bilang preparasyon sa nagalapit nga tig-ululan.

Patuloy ang dredging at clearing operations sa Iloilo-Batiano River bilang bahagi ng pagpapatupad ng Oplan Kontra Baha, alinsunod sa direktiba ni President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na palakasin ang mga inisyatiba laban sa pagbaha.

Sa kasalukuyan, umabot na sa 87.65 porsyento ang accomplishment ng operasyon sa nasabing lugar. Isinasagawa rin ang Oplan Kontra Baha sa iba pang bahagi ng Region VI bilang paghahanda sa nalalapit na tag-ulan.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Office VI joined the nationwide kick-off of Brigada Eskwela 2026 in support of the annual Oplan Balik Eskwela (OBE) for School Year 2026–2027, carrying the theme, “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman.”

Together with its 11 District Engineering Offices (DEOs), DPWH Region VI actively conducted various OBE activities, including campus clean-up drives, vegetation clearing, minor repair works, and maintenance of school facilities.

These initiatives aim to help ensure that schools are safe, clean, and conducive to learning as students and teachers prepare for the opening of classes.

Through the spirit of bayanihan and shared responsibility, DPWH Region VI remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting the education sector and helping create learning environments that promote safety, academic excellence, and community participation.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE CATAAN BRIDGE IN SAN JOAQUIN, ILOILO

Please be informed that the Cataan Bridge in San Joaquin, Iloilo will be temporarily closed effective June 8, 2026, due to the repair of the permanent bridge slab.

Motorists and the riding public are advised to take alternate routes and observe traffic signages and instructions from traffic personnel.
