HAPPY FOUNDER’S DAY!

Today marks the 108th birth anniversary of our dearly beloved founder, Engr. Ricardo Torrillo Salas—a visionary whose life’s work has left a lasting mark not only on the Western Institute of Technology but also on countless lives shaped through education.

Born on June 24, 1918, Engr. Salas would go on to establish WIT 46 years later, planting the seeds of opportunity, growth, and service for the youth of Western Visayas. More than just a founder, he was a humble and compassionate leader—fondly remembered not only as a boss but also as a father figure to the WIT community. As one of his longtime employees once shared, “He was not only a leader, but a father who genuinely cared for all WIT employees and staff.”

His dream was clear: to make quality, affordable education accessible to all—especially to those with limited means. Guided by our core values of Wisdom, Integrity, and Truth, and upholding the principles of faith, honesty, and compassion, his vision continues to inspire generations.

As we celebrate his life today, we also recommit ourselves to continue his mission: by opening doors to equal opportunities, nurturing persevering, dedicated, and globally competitive graduates, and staying true to the values he lived by.

WIT UPDATES: June 24 is a School Holiday in commemoration of the birth anniversary of our founder, Engr. Ricardo T. Salas.

There will be no classes at all levels and no office transactions on June 24, 2026.

Classes and office transactions will resume on June 25, 2026 (Thursday).

We're inviting our Grade 11 Parents/Guardians to attend our Orientation Program on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 9 a.m. at the Audio Visual Hall, New Engineering Building, RTS Campus.

📍Registration starts at 8:00 a.m.

Note: Attendance is strongly encouraged in order to discuss important matters about the Strengthened SHS Curriculum, Three-Term Calendar, and Distribution and Schedule of Payments.

Maligayang Araw ng Kalayaan, Pilipinas! 🇵🇭

Ngayong araw, ating ginugunita at ipinagdiriwang ang katapangan, sakripisyo, at wagas na pagmamahal sa bayan ng ating mga bayaning Pilipino na nagbigay-daan sa kalayaang ating tinatamasa ngayon.

Sa pagdiriwang ng ika-128 na Araw ng Kalayaan, nawa’y magsilbi itong paalala na ipagpatuloy natin ang kanilang adhikain sa pamamagitan ng pagiging responsableng mamamayan, pagsusumikap tungo sa kahusayan, at aktibong pakikibahagi sa pag-unlad ng ating bansa.

Sa Western Institute of Technology, nananatili kaming tapat sa aming adhikain na humubog ng mga nagtapos na may kakayahang makipagsabayan sa pandaigdigang antas, taglay ang integridad, katatagan, at pagmamahal sa bayan.

PAALALA: Walang pasok sa lahat ng Summer Classes, WITCAT, Enrollment, at mga Transaksyon sa Opisina bukas, Hunyo 12, 2026.

Following a fair and successful election held on May 5, 2026, guided by the core values of 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮, and 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮, the Student Council Electoral Board has officially elected its new set of officers.
