🌏 FY 2026 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) – SDO Imus City

The Schools Division Office of Imus City, together with the Division Office personnel and the learners, teaching, and non-teaching personnel from its 38 public schools, successfully participated in the FY 2026 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) today at 9:00 AM.

This activity underscores the Department of Education's commitment to promoting a culture of safety, preparedness, and resilience among school communities. The conduct of the earthquake drill aims to enhance awareness of earthquake hazards, strengthen disaster preparedness measures, and ensure that all personnel and learners are familiar with proper emergency response procedures such as the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" technique and safe evacuation protocols.

Through regular earthquake drills, schools and offices are provided the opportunity to assess their readiness, identify gaps in emergency plans, improve coordination among response teams, and develop the confidence needed to respond effectively during actual earthquake emergencies. Such preparedness activities contribute significantly to minimizing risks, protecting lives, and fostering a safer learning and working environment.

The Schools Division Office of Imus City extends its appreciation to all participating schools, school heads, DRRM coordinators, teachers, personnel, and learners for their active cooperation and commitment to disaster risk reduction and management.

Together, we build safer and more resilient schools and communities.

Be alert. Be ready. Be safe.

Stay hydrated at stay safe, Caviteños!
