Quezon National High School officially opened the School Year 2026โ2027 with enthusiasm and strong community support, as students, teachers, and local officials gathered for the first day of classes marked by meaningful activities and warm welcomes.
Early in the morning, the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) led an initiative to distribute button pins and school supplies to early bird learners and teachers. The gesture aimed to boost morale and encourage preparedness among students as they embark on a new academic year.
At exactly 7:00 AM, the school conducted its first flag raising ceremony, setting a tone of discipline and unity for the months ahead. The ceremony was attended by key officials and stakeholders who expressed their support for the school community.
Highlighting the event was a brief yet informative talk delivered by PNP Quezon Chief Clarence DG. Labasan. In his message, he emphasized the importance of road safety and crime prevention, reminding learners to remain vigilant and responsible both inside and outside the school premises.
Meanwhile, Barangay Alunan Captain, Hon. Roberto C. Appal, also addressed the students. He encouraged them to focus on their studies and uphold good conduct while complying with barangay and municipal ordinances. According to him, discipline and adherence to rules are essential for the welfare and success of the youth.
School Principal IV, Joel R. Antipolo, extended a warm welcome to all learners. In his message, he assured the school community that Quezon National High School continues to strive for excellence. He emphasized that the institution is making every effort to provide quality education and a conducive learning environment for all students.
The opening program concluded on a positive note, with renewed commitment from both learners and educators to make the school year productive and meaningful.

As part of ensuring a smooth and successful opening of classes for School Year 2026โ2027, a Regional Monitoring Team from Region II, headed by Dr. Dominic Domingo, Education Program Supervisor in Filipino, with Sir Jeston Angeles and Mam Loreta Carlos conducted a monitoring visit at Quezon National High School.
During his visit, Dr. Domingo addressed the students and teachers through the school's public address system. He shared the inspiring story of the Stonecutter, emphasizing that regardless of our position or role in life, we must perform our duties with love, dedication, and commitment.
He also spoke to the Grade 8 and Grade 10 learners during their orientation program, reminding them that the choices and actions they make today will have a significant impact on their future. He encouraged them to be responsible, focused on their studies, and determined to achieve their goals.
In addition, Dr. Domingo guested on Batang Radyo 104 FM's โUgnayan sa DepEd Dos,โ where he delivered an important message to parents. He reminded them that parenting is a God-given responsibility that must be carried out with love, accountability, and proper guidance to nurture their children's growth and development.
The Regional Monitoring aims to validate the actual situation in schools during the opening of classes, identify issues and concerns on the ground, and provide appropriate support and interventions to ensure the delivery of quality and safe education for all learners.
At the culmination of the monitoring activity, Dr. Darwin J. Mangunay, Public Schools District Supervisor of Quezon District, and Joel R. Antipolo, Principal IV of Quezon National High School, expressed their sincere gratitude to the Regional Monitoring Team for their visit, valuable inputs, and constructive suggestions. They emphasized that the recommendations shared by the team would greatly contribute to the continuous improvement of school operations and the delivery of quality education to learners.
The visit reflects the Department of Educationโs continuing commitment to maintaining school readiness and strengthening the quality of educational services across the region.
